Ok, I'm still thinking about all the info from the ghost thread, and this is kind of yet another spin-off again from that.

Do Godly Angels (not demons, we got that straight in the other thread ;) ) ever intervene in situations to help people? They must occassionally, don't you think? Also, isn't it in the bible somewhere (and you have to forgive me, I'm terrible at remembering exact scripture at this point) about feeding or helping strangers, because you never know when it could be an angel? It seems to stick in my mind that I read that in there somewhere.

Lastly, what about Guardian Angels? Any truth that we may have 'em individually?

Yes I believe we have guardian angels. When I had my accident in 1990, I was hit on my side of the car at about 75 mph. I was shoved off the road and into a tree. My car was totaled, but my dog Casey and I walked away. I was brusied and banged up a bit but the fireman who was at the accident said I sould have been taken out in a body bag. I believe God had angels around me. And if we all do have a guardian angel, mine has his hands full!

Hebrews 1:13-14 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

As for guardian angels, we do know that Michael is the "guardian angel", actually the Prince over Israel:

Daniel 10:21 But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Now considering the Hebrews verses, I would have to say yes to your question, and in fact I have personal stories of "ministering angels" standing guard over the Lord's saints.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Now this I can relate too ;) An incident in the store I work at happened awhile ago...and I can tell you for certain.. it was whispered to my heart that I was in danger...danger...danger...so loud it was almost audible...I made a phone call immediately and my dad got there quick...he only lives about 2 miles from the store...I'm sure he broke some land speed record ;) And on dads end of the phone when he answered all I said is "dad, you coming down?" because I wanted these men to hear that...my dad asked no questions and there was absolutely NO confusion...he was on his way. Now usually by that time at night dad is walking around in his boxers....but he said for some strange reason that night he didn't feel like getting "comfortable"

Are we watched over? I would say yes....things could and would have turned out much different that night if I was not warned.

Love and Blessings,

Angel

Angels have saved my life more than once. I too was hit from behind by a car doing 60 mph. Gas tank ruptured open and no fire. Heres the weird part i heard a quiet calm voice saying you will be ok and that was before anyone got to to me. The voice was coming from the left side of my car but no one was standing there . It should have exploded and someone pulled me out of the car. I had a bad whiplash but I am still alive. Praise the Lord in all His mighty ways !!!!

I have my own personal accounts of angels, like others, and will add my own bit to say that I undoubtedly believe they assist us. This could be one, huge study if people wanted it to be!

One thing to be careful of, though, is to not get into angel worship. The world - and some Christians - like to go a little overboard on the angel excitement.

Keith, I second what you wrote  The Lord led me on the path to meet Him in a dream where He was represented as a Dolphin (I was heavily into New Age at the time) and as He drew me down to the great depths of the ocean where He told me that I was so completely LOVED and surrounded in His love that I could not escape it. It was only much later that I found this is scripturally correct. I do not worship Dolphins, however I do love them very much for their intelligence, grace and beauty.

I LOVE the Lord with all my heart, all my soul and all my strength. I don't know if I have a guardian angel or not, and to be honest, it doesn't concern me. I am in the Lords Mighty Hand and that is all that counts for me.

With love

Just another verse that seems to indicate "guardian angels"

Matthew 18:10 See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

There does seem to be plenty scripture talking about Angels.

I believe Angels are around to help us, and to do the different things God assigns them.

The important thing being that they are working for God!

We are so prone to worship things, we need to remember they are simply, as we are, servants of God.

I just wanted to keep the credit where it belongs: with God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
