Keith,

Thanks for the turkey recipe!! I love experiementing with turkey at thanksgiving! I will have to try it!!!

I am not much of a cook (my idea of cooking used to be throwing chicken nuggets in the microwave, lol!) But I am getting into it more. I recently became a consultant for Pampered Chef and have learned SOO much and I find it's pretty easy now to cook and come up with my own ideas. I never measure anything, unless I'm baking. One of my favorite things is the Pampered chef "ring" or calzone which you can fill with anything. ( any meat and cheese, /eggs, cheese and ham,/ spinach, cheese, other veggies and tomato sauce,/ any type of pie filling,/ even peanut butter and jelly...) All you do is mix up whatever filling you want, then lay out 2 cans of crescent rolls in a circle (points facing out) lay your filling on the thickest part of the circle, fold the points over the top, then bake at 350 for about 15-20 minutes. It always turns out great!

I also LOVE watching cooking shows. Rachel Ray is my favorite!!! For thanksgiving I tried a recipe for pear upside down cake from Emeril, it was yummy!

Now I'm hungry!

I love Chicken Wings, I'll have to try this recipe out!!!

Here's an easy one of mine (that I borrowed from Campbells soup!)

4 chicken breasts (boneless)

1 can of creamy soup (I like celery, chicken, or potatoe; my brother prefers mushroom)

The fast rice not the long cook kind...

water

Heat the oven to something. I use around 350.

Put enough rice in a baking dish (like a cake rectangle one) so that the bottom is well covered. Add water to this, until the rice is 'swimming' in it.

Add about 2/3 of the soup, and stir good. Place chicken on top, and put the rest of the soup over it.

cook for about an hour, until the inside of the chicken is not pink (and I would test the temp to). About half way (30 min's) make sure there is still enough water in the rice, if it is starting to look dry, add lots more water!

Of course I like to add lots of seasoning to this: pepper, paprika, garlic, onions, dried up hot pepper things (usually goes on pizza...?) , and lots of whatever else is in the spice cupboard!

Hope you like it (and that it works!)

4 flat breads or pitas, any flavor or variety

1 cup plain yogurt

1 teaspoon ground coriander

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon grill seasoning (recommended: McCormick Montreal Seasoning)

2 to 2 1/2 pounds white meat chicken, cubed into bite size pieces

1 heart romaine lettuce, chopped

2 vine ripe tomatoes, chopped

1/2 seedless cucumber, chopped

1/2 red onion, chopped

3 ribs celery, chopped

1/2 cup pitted kalamata olives

6 pepperoncini hot peppers, chopped

1 lemon, juiced

Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling

Salt and pepper

Special equipment: metal skewers

Parsley Feta Pesto:

1 cup flat-leaf parsley leaves

1/2 cup feta crumbles

1 clove garlic

1 teaspoon coarse black pepper

3 tablespoons chopped walnuts

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

Preheat a grill pan to high heat. Heat a toaster oven or oven to 250 degrees F.

Wrap breads in foil and place in oven to warm.

Combine yogurt and next 4 ingredients. Coat chicken in mixture then thread meat onto metal skewers. Brush grill pan with oil and grill meat 5 to 6 minutes on each side.

Combine chopped lettuce, chopped veggies, olives and hot peppers on a large platter or in a serving bowl. Dress the salad very lightly in lemon juice and extra-virgin olive oil and salt and pepper.

Now THAT sounds phenomenal! So do Thomas' chicken wings!

Nothing fancy for dinner tonight. Just making fried chicken (although I have my secret to making it!) with garlic mashed potatoes and corn. My favorite all-time meal.

Here is a great recipe for:

Microwave Popcorn

Ingrediants

1 Bag Microwave Popcorn. (Brand is your choice. It all tastes the same if you burn it.)

1 Microwave Oven

1 Person to pay attention

First remove the bag of popcorn from the plastic wrap. Unfold the bag and find the words, "This side up." Place this side up inside the microwave.

Cook on HIGH 2-4 minutes*. Place one person to pay attention somewhere within the vicinity to stop microwave (if necessary) when the bag seems to be done. Don't look at the bag, it won't change color. When the time interval between popping sound is more than 3 seconds, remove bag.

OPEN CAREFULLY so as to not burn your eyes out.

Enjoy eating. Enjoy getting kernals stuck in the teeth. Enjoy buttery hands all over. Enjoy nasty smell. Enjoy putting it in the trash and taking the trash out.

*Cooking time will vary depending on Microwave power

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
