we are of the new testament ,today , trying to follow the teachings of Jesus , and follow the spirit that leads us,

but I see that there are Gods standards and talking to the people in the past,  and today we say it does not apply ?

if we do not take in as  a reminder or a example of what happened in the past , how do we become the believers of today  ?, of the same bible and word of God? what is not applied today , that was applied to the believer yesterday,

we see that yesterday the believers all believed in God and Jesus and refuse to bow to the evil and santanic pagan Gods  and were tortured and killed for following the way of the holy God,

so how is it that we today can even say we don't have tribulation its for the tribulation saints, that this in it self separates us , as different believers  of the same God?

if we are all reading one bible and following the principles of  God the father and the finished work of Christ Jesus , ,

then hw do we pick and choose what we are going to follow and what we are not going to follow, is this even correct,

to choose of what we accept in the bible and what we don't, if it be all inspired and is the true word of God,?

I get so confused in how a covenant of moses or grace replaces the next covenant , and we are okay to believe that,    as what God is saying ?

I really believe there is a dis-connect of the truth , so please comment and respond , with helpful advise and positive comments ,

thank you in advance for helping me, and to provoke me ,in learning Gods truth  to study harder,  and be filled , thank you blessings

The trials of today are nothing compared to what will be in the Tribulation or Wrath of God, when you cannot buy or sell to feed your self or your family without the mark.the hand of God will be completely removed and weather, storms, growing seasons, etc will have changed as will the anger and hostility of man to man...lawlessness like we have not seen. I do not even want to imagine what times will be like.

With regard to covenants, Jesus came and fullfilled the old covenant we are under grace provided by a his sacrifice. We could never on our own live under the Moasaic laws and be worthy of heaven. That is why we needed a Saviour.

I thought this was all answered before....am I wrong?

we have talked about the covenants, but we did not talk about , the covenant of grace is what we are under , but not forgetting , what God hastold us in the past , for even the old books of he old are telling us what to look forward to in the future, so we have where many completely shut off the old and only stay in or feel the new is only important, I am trying to bring up that the whole bible is important and our learning only increases, as we study and place the word of truth and God, in our every day lives, for many

will not go back to the old but stay in the new, and so that would limit learning and understanding to what we need to know for today and our salvation, and the times we will have to endure,

as the believers of God was going ( through the plagues in Egypt ), they were protected and over came by the saving of the blood of the lambs ,as we should in the up coming times if we are still here, they went through the wrath , and noah went (through the wrath by the flood), and lot (went through the time of the fire and brimstone, )many do not see this pattern.

so we need to pray and continue to trust in the lord , he provides all of our needs and protects us ,from the second death , but does not promise  a pass out of tribulation, this is of man ,and not God, so we can find our selves in this, scriptures tells us, but many are not wanting to know,or face this. and its been taught for many years through the generations, they prefer a free pass.

not coming to that we may have to face death to be in glory.

Okay, so you think we are still obligated to live under Old Covenant Economy, keep the Sabbath, stay kosher, etc???

So are you also willing to be subject to the punishments that God offers up in the OT???

Is this what you are willing to live under? :

"But if you will not obey the voice of the LORD your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field. Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Cursed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out. "The LORD will send on you curses, confusion, and frustration in all that you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and perish quickly on account of the evil of your deeds, because you have forsaken me.  The LORD will make the pestilence stick to you until he has consumed you off the land that you are entering to take possession of it. The LORD will strike you with wasting disease and with fever, inflammation and fiery heat, and with drought and with blight and with mildew. They shall pursue you until you perish. And the heavens over your head shall be bronze, and the earth under you shall be iron. The LORD will make the rain of your land powder. From heaven dust shall come down on you until you are destroyed.

"The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them. And you shall be a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth. And your dead body shall be food for all birds of the air and for the beasts of the earth, and there shall be no one to frighten them away. The LORD will strike you with the boils of Egypt, and with tumors and scabs and itch, of which you cannot be healed. The LORD will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of mind, and you shall grope at noonday, as the blind grope in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways. And you shall be only oppressed and robbed continually, and there shall be no one to help you. You shall betroth a wife, but another man shall ravish her. You shall build a house, but you shall not dwell in it. You shall plant a vineyard, but you shall not enjoy its fruit. Your ox shall be slaughtered before your eyes, but you shall not eat any of it. Your donkey shall be seized before your face, but shall not be restored to you. Your sheep shall be given to your enemies, but there shall be no one to help you.  Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, while your eyes look on and fail with longing for them all day long, but you shall be helpless. A nation that you have not known shall eat up the fruit of your ground and of all your labors, and you shall be only oppressed and crushed continually, so that you are driven mad by the sights that your eyes see. The LORD will strike you on the knees and on the legs with grievous boils of which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.

"The LORD will bring you and your king whom you set over you to a nation that neither you nor your fathers have known. And there you shall serve other gods of wood and stone. And you shall become a horror, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples where the LORD will lead you away. You shall carry much seed into the field and shall gather in little, for the locust shall consume it. You shall plant vineyards and dress them, but you shall neither drink of the wine nor gather the grapes, for the worm shall eat them. You shall have olive trees throughout all your territory, but you shall not anoint yourself with the oil, for your olives shall drop off. You shall father sons and daughters, but they shall not be yours, for they shall go into captivity. The cricket shall possess all your trees and the fruit of your ground. The sojourner who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him. He shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.

"All these curses shall come upon you and pursue you and overtake you till you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes that he commanded you. They shall be a sign and a wonder against you and your offspring forever. Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, because of the abundance of all things, therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the LORD will send against you, in hunger and thirst, in nakedness, and lacking everything. And he will put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you. The LORD will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, swooping down like the eagle, a nation whose language you do not understand, a hard-faced nation who shall not respect the old or show mercy to the young. It shall eat the offspring of your cattle and the fruit of your ground, until you are destroyed; it also shall not leave you grain, wine, or oil, the increase of your herds or the young of your flock, until they have caused you to perish.

"They shall besiege you in all your towns, until your high and fortified walls, in which you trusted, come down throughout all your land. And they shall besiege you in all your towns throughout all your land, which the LORD your God has given you. And you shall eat the fruit of your womb, the flesh of your sons and daughters, whom the LORD your God has given you, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemies shall distress you. The man who is the most tender and refined among you will begrudge food to his brother, to the wife he embraces, and to the last of the children whom he has left, so that he will not give to any of them any of the flesh of his children whom he is eating, because he has nothing else left, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in all your towns. The most tender and refined woman among you, who would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground because she is so delicate and tender, will begrudge to the husband she embraces, to her son and to her daughter, her afterbirth that comes out from between her feet and her children whom she bears, because lacking everything she will eat them secretly, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in your towns.

"If you are not careful to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, the LORD your God, then the LORD will bring on you and your offspring extraordinary afflictions, afflictions severe and lasting, and sicknesses grievous and lasting. And he will bring upon you again all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. Every sickness also and every affliction that is not recorded in the book of this law, the LORD will bring upon you, until you are destroyed. Whereas you were as numerous as the stars of heaven, you shall be left few in number, because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God. And as the LORD took delight in doing you good and multiplying you, so the LORD will take delight in bringing ruin upon you and destroying you. And you shall be plucked off the land that you are entering to take possession of it.

"And the LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known. And among these nations you shall find no respite, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot, but the LORD will give you there a trembling heart and failing eyes and a languishing soul. Your life shall hang in doubt before you. Night and day you shall be in dread and have no assurance of your life. In the morning you shall say, 'If only it were evening!' and at evening you shall say, 'If only it were morning!' because of the dread that your heart shall feel, and the sights that your eyes shall see. And the LORD will bring you back in ships to Egypt, a journey that I promised that you should never make again; and there you shall offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but there will be no buyer." ~(Deu 28:15-68)

WOW, such hostility , giving me this as if it is un Godly ,to bring to light of what we think to be important, and what is not, you underestimated what I am saying and you want to give me this reply  ? as if I am cursed and part of the unbelieving, you need to examine yourself and see that you are playing a tune for a unbeliever and rejector of God, which I am not,

I ,on the other hand am saying, we should be listening to all that God has for his people ,if it be jew or Gentile, we are not to dismiss anything at all that comes from God , and you place it into a stay in the new test, and don't follow what moses said , and if we do we are subject to the old punishment , this alone is senseless thinking , and you want me to have my head examined,

I am sinner saved, this speaks for it self, so there is no way you can start to say if I want the punishments of the old for wanting to know why we dismiss the god of the old , for Jesus is both the before the now and the after, he did not take away anything that was presented to the people yesterday or today, if you want the real facts, you assumed, we are under a grace of Jesus , and the God that stated judgement  and instruction should not be used , this is what you are stating , so

So with that , throw out the old testament , and only live with the new, ! this is not how God would have told us to be ,and in the book of romans chapter 7 makes it clear

for we are still under the laws of God, for the covenant of the grace over ,gods law is false, it is like saying God has just trumped himself and shifted the rules, so what he said in the pass is in the pass and what is now is what and only now, ,the grace of today , read it in acts is over the law of sin and death , not the law of God  ! this is truth , and many will say I have just crossed the line, but look at it, this is what we are told in scripture, the law of sin and death is by grace, we do not throw out anything like the laws of old,

that would really be foolish , and cause for confusion, and our belief in the God of the bible ,would be in vain, this is what you have said, and to come at me like I am ,trying to teach a new doctrine  is incorrect, and straight out a excuse, to cover up the truth , we want truth I have just given it , it is all in romans 7 and 8 read it and you will see it.

it is not to abolish Gods laws , but to do away with the laws,     ( of sin and death ) , only..

Jesus stated I did not come to abolish the laws and the prophets ?, but to fulfill it, and magnify it, l

et the reader  read ,and understand , for many have come in to the house of the lord with doctrines and false teachings of deception, and we do not discern the spirits, we need , not be caught in the snares of the devil , for our bibles have been, the churches have been, and the new modern teachings are all, infiltrated by satan himself,

do not think you are in Gods word , by blasting me, in thinking I am bringing what has never been removed, in the first place,

thank you, but you need to see romans !! and that will ,guide you to the truth ,

Yeshua taught Torah, as Moses did, as Yahweh gave to Moses.

Yeshua said, "If they won't listen to Moses, they won't listen to ME".

and "If they won't listen to ME(Yeshua), they won't listen to you((anyone who tells the Truth sent by Yahweh))"

so, it's pretty simple.

Do what Yeshua said to do, which is what Moses said to do, which is what Yahweh told Moses to tell the people to do.

.........................

Yes,  the penalty for sin is still death.

Either Yeshua Messiah's Death,

or the death of the person sinning.  ((the only 2 choices Yahweh gives)).

The free gift of life in Christ Jesus is exactly what His Word says - free.

you have nailed it brother , thank you for that response, my thoughts exactly,

people are surprise as if I am bring in new teachings ,or my own doctrine, this is all straight out of the bible , in spirit and in truth , let the reader understand , and let them that are unjust remain unjust , and those that are righteous remain righteous, says Yahweh.

for I know the thoughts and prayers before they are spoken,

how great is our God and powerful is the name of Jesus  .every knee shall bow ,and every tongue confess, that Jesus is lord of lords and king of kings praises be to God the father and the son ,our lord and savior, to give us wisdom and to know truth ,and to open the eyes of my heart.

My point is that everyone who goes on and on about wanting to remain obligated to the Law of Moses, who proclaims that we are to keep the commandments never seem to want to talk about the penalties for failure under the OT economy.   My question is, are you has prepared for the consequences should you fail?   There are two sides to the OT economy you put such a high premium on, and that is what happens if you disobey or fail to obey.

I don't think people who want to live under the OT economy have put much thought into the consequences of living under that economy.   The penalties and punishments for failing to do everything God has told you to do, is just as much a part of the Law of Moses as the commandments themselves.

I am sorry , but you are not understanding what I am putting down, we are judged by accepting Christ or rejecting Christ Jesus , plain and simple, we are saved by Grace of what He did for us and not of our selves, simple, now , as far as how we are living and telling others of how we are to live and act and conduct our selves reflects on our life style, i9f we only read and hold to the new testament , and leave out the old, we have separated our selves to be of one and not the other, what I am getting at is , if God told us in the new covenant we are saved by grace, then we are  !

but !, if we are saved by grace and not of the law of god which is what moses held and gave to the people , we have been deceived to believe a lie, for I have explained in the book of romans , and this is where the confusion and the division is, what grace came in and covered for us , is not the law of God !.... grace came in to cover the Law......, the Law of sin and death !! not the law of God or he just went back on his word , and our God is not a God of confusion, and He is a just and righteous God, !

there are laws given the law of God

the law of sin and death

and there are other laws  all stated in Romans, from the 6th chapter to the 8 the chapter

so if we read , and understand , we have interpret this wrong , and God never did away with the law of God,

but the law of sin and death , for there is no ore condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus , for by His death and resurrection He has and we are conquers , and victorious over sin and death , through Him that is able to save

so do you see what I pointed out , its been there the whole time there is times and generations to understand the unfolding of scripture, for even God told us that in the later times we will have visions and dreams , and it is at appointed times,

for us to know truth as it is told, and so scripture comes alive to the believer through the spirit to see what the non -believer does not see and comprehend, this is how god is able to show His people through the words of scripture to be one thing to believers and another to a non believer, so I hope and pray that this has reached out , for it is not I that claim this , but the God of heaven that reveals this to those that seek Him. praises be to the God of issac ,Jacob and Abraham , amen...

Seems to me that you want the grace of the NT economy but the Law requirements of the OT economy.   It doesn't work that way.  If you want to live under the OT economy, then you have take the good with the bad.  You don't get to cherry pick which parts you are obligated to and which parts you aren't.
