I got a nice response from the mayors office basically blowing my concerns off. Since they are dead set on having their council meeting opened by a satanic convocation, then I will not support that city any more. (The way phoenix and its satellite cities are arranged, anyone can spend money in several cities in one day quite easily. The borders are quite convoluted.) If they succeed at getting to pray, then they could do their filthy "prayers" as they liked. If not, then all prayer is shut down and they still get their way. But they have already lost... Their master is a liar, backstabber, thief and a murderer as scripture tells us. He leads people down a primrose path, only to kick them off the precarious ledge when they finally reach the end of their treacherous journey.
