But nevertheless, they are called his brothers and sisters and kicking against the goads will not change what the Bible says. The Catholics deny the plain reading of the text and Greek and impose an inferior and sloppy hermeneutic when it comes to the Bible. they were His half brother and half sisters because they were not the sons and daughters of Mary - it just is not in the bible that Mary had children other than Jesus so why is it so glibly believed and accepted except for some sinister or ulterior motive - this is just another false latter day Protestant innovation and addition to the bible - wincam

This is one of many errors taught that cannot withstand refutation. Edited August 6, 2016 by Word-Sword

Please offer the biblical evidence of a different parent.

But it doesn't stop with Mary. The call the Pope the "vicar" of Christ. The word "vicar" from the Latin for vicarious which means, "substitute." The Pope is viewed as Jesus substitute on earth, basically God on earth. Even in popery, there is the element of idolatry. basically God on earth is a Protestant addition and false interpretation since no Catholic not even the Pope believes or accepts this nonsense - wincam

The Roman Catholic cult worships Mary and has created in an entire fiction that she remained a virgin and was born sinless, putting her on the same level as Jesus. It is a disgrace and is one glaring reason that the RCC is nothing but an idolatrous false religion from hell. They could not be his half brothers and sisters through Joseph. Joseph was not Jesus' father. They could ONLY be called his brothers and sisters if they were all of the same mother as Jesus. Sorry to blow your idol worship of Mary, but Mary and Joseph had sex and they had other children. Mary was not a Catholic, she was a Torah observant Jew and she and Joseph would have had many children as was the custom and the Bible bears that out. But I am a bit confused by your answer, are you saying that the Jews of the day were wrong? And if so, please expound on where the siblings of Jesus came from. You are trying really hard to uphold an indefensible doctrine.

You are not answering the question. The Bible tells us Jesus had siblings, where did they come from if not from Mary. Simple question, why can you not answer it?
