But if you use deductive reasoning with the bible you can figure it out. For example: Luke 23:50-56 50 And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just: 51 (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God. 52 This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. 53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. 54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. 55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. 56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. and Luke 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. The Jews are obligated by the law to worship on Saturday. Christians normally celebrate the Resurrection on the first day of the week. Some regard this day as holy but many Christians regard every day alike and continually worship God. When we fully surrender our lives to Christ we allow Him into all areas of our lives, so He influences our politics, our love lives, and our finances, for instance. So while we celebrate the resurrection, we regard every day as holy and don't compartmentalize our lives. Christians have entered the Sabbath Rest of God by ceasing to rely on their own works to be acceptable to God. We enter by faith in the completed work of Christ on the Cross. He fulfilled the law perfectly. Heb 3:18 WEB To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient? Heb 3:19 We see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief. Heb 4:2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.
