"In Rev.13, there is NO mention of the "false prophet", so why do men's traditions keep trying to add that to that Scripture?"

Here is why:

Revelation
13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Revelation
19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone

"In Rev.13:11 begins description about a 2nd beast, the "another beast" and it is a man that comes like a lamb, but speaks as a dragon. That is a direct reference to a false one coming in the role of Christ but will speak as the dragon. It does not say "false prophet". And because that 2nd beast is to do great signs and wonders, raining fire down from heaven in the sight of men, as the one in 2 Thess.2 and Matt.24:23-26 also is to do, it is a direct pointer to the Antichrist."

Same response to you:

The second beast is obviously Satan's false prophet of Revelation 13 and Revelation 19

Here is further advice for you:

The first beast is Abaddon/Apollyon a fallen angel like Satan who does Satan's bidding for him on the earth .... specifically ruling over 7 assigned human Middle Eastern kingdoms and related human king positions .... 5 have fallen, and two are still pending [Revelation 9:11; 11:7; 13:1-4; 17:8-18]

Abaddon will manifest himself in the human little horn of Daniel's visions [Daniel 7; 8; 11:36-45:12:7]

His second beast [his false prophet] is also a fallen angel like Satan who will manifest himself in two religious clerics will lead the religious cult of the first beast, Abaddon

Satan's "man of lawlessness" is Abaddon manifested in and controlling the human little horn [2 Thessalonians 2:3-12]

Abaddon's religious cult is the religion of Islam

This one will confederate the current divides of Islam of Sunni and Shiite [the two horns]

And 10 other human kings [horns] will serve Abaddon in the little horn, and these will rule over Abaddon's smaller 6th and larger 7th Middle Eastern kingdoms at the time of the end during the coming tribulation period [Daniel 7;7-25; 8:9-25; 11:36-45; 12:7; Revelation 17:12-13]

Who are the "beast", "false prophet", and "dragon" of Rev.16:13-14?

Rev 19:20
20 And the
beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
KJV

That above event is to occur on the day of Jesus' 2nd coming. Notice the "dragon" is not mentioned there, but he is mentioned back at the Rev.16:13-14 Scripture. Why is that one should ask?

The "beast" word is a label that can mean either the beast kingdom shown at Rev.13:1-2, or the 2nd beast of Rev.13:11 forward that exercises all the power of that 1st beast kingdom. Technically, this can apply to both that beast kingdom and... the 'role' of the 2nd beast as beast king, since that image is first given in the Book of Daniel (Dan.7).

The "false prophet" is only mentioned in Rev.16 and here in Rev.19:20, which both show the "false prophet" takes part in the miracles the Antichrist will do on earth to deceive the world with. In Rev.16, all three are shown having a part in that working.

But these two, the "beast" and the "false prophet" go into the lake of fire PRIOR to the Great White Throne Judgment at the end of Christ's 1,000 years reign. Do we not see a problem with that, in comparing them to flesh born men?

There is NO Bible Scripture which declares any flesh born man will be judged and sentenced to go into the "lake of fire" PRIOR to the Great White Throne Judgment! Look all you want, but even Judas Iscariot has not been judged and sentenced to perish in the "lake of fire" yet. We know there will be flesh born men that will eventually be assigned to the "lake of fire", but we do NOT know who those are yet, for they have NOT been judged and sentenced yet today.

Who then has... already been judged and sentenced to perish in the "lake of fire"?

Matt 25:41
41 Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire,
prepared for the devil and his angels:
KJV

Only Satan and his angels have already... been judged and sentenced to perdition in the future "lake of fire" event at the end of Christ's future 1,000 years reign of Rev.20.

Because of that, we should well know that the "beast" and "false prophet" that go into the lake of fire PRIOR to the Great White Throne Judgment cannot... be flesh born men! They have to be something else. They are ROLES that the "dragon" will play for the tribulation. Remember the "dragon" (Satan) was also mentioned with them back in Rev.16:13-14? Yet here in Rev.19:20 the "dragon" is not mentioned, simply because Rev.20 shows that "dragon" being locked in his pit prison during the 1,000 years reign by Christ, and then loosed one final time at the end of it.

So when thinking about the "beast" concept, it means 2 parts, a kingdom beast (1st beast of Rev.13) and then a beast king (2nd beast of Rev.13). That is the Dan.7 pattern Jesus linked in Rev.13:2. The beast king role is a mimic of our Lord Jesus Christ as The KING. Satan, the "dragon", wants to be Christ.

And when thinking of the "false prophet", know that it is a copy of our Lord Jesus also, since Jesus also was a Prophet.

Those roles, the beast king and false prophet, perish when Jesus comes, because they simply are 'roles' that Satan the "dragon" will play. So of course when Jesus comes those roles end, but the "dragon" is preserved until after the 1,000 years.

This is why the "false prophet" is included in the working of miracles as mentioned in both Rev.16:14 and here in the Rev.19:20 verse.

"The "beast" word is a label that can mean either the beast kingdom shown at Rev.13:1-2, or the 2nd beast of Rev.13:11 forward that exercises all the power of that 1st beast kingdom."

You have some correct rendering above, so continue your study and perfect it

Satan, Abaddon, the false angelic prophet, and the human little horn are all separate entities .... Satan is the designer of his concoction and the Lord's allows him

The Abaddon is not a kingdom and is always referred to as "he".... this reprobate angel has been around from the beginning of creation, the same as Satan

And it is the devil who gives him his power and authority on the earth

Abaddon is Satan's "antichrist" .... one who is "against" Jesus Christ [Revelation 13:6]

The human little horn, a king of the northern Middle East will be fully controlled by Abaddon and the angelic false prophet will attest to the authenticity of Abaddon as the son of perdition in the little horn by witness

Satan considers himself to be God and he will mimic the relationship of "God the father" and "God the son"

It is significant to understand this relationship for the student of Bible prophecy

By the way, the current setting in the Middle East as defined by the prophets will be the region where Abaddon will return to rule upon his release from the abyss where he has been since his 5th kingdom fell

This one will inhabit a Muslim Caliph .... the human little horn of Daniel's visions called the "Assyrian" in Micah 5:5-6

"she wears the colors purple and scarlet" those colors are only applied to 1 area of the world where people wear that.

Thus all Scripture and also btw history verifies.    I didn't get to read thru the thread - did anyone deny this ?

MBG is the entire unbelieving world at the time of the end including Jerusalem .... the Lord's view is comprehensive from Babel to end time MBG

When the coming tribulation period begins there will be no believers upon the earth .... not one .... anywhere

MBG will have a dominant "great city" connected to all of the other cities of the nations by culture, commerce, trade, and materialism

This "great city" [civilization] is not Jerusalem .... the attributes recorded in Revelation 18 give a description of a much greater entity

The other "great city" is the Lord's city of Jerusalem described in Revelation 11

It's true the harlot, which is a "great city" per the last verse of Rev.17, will sit over all nations. That's who the "dragon" is given to have power over for 42 months per Rev.13.

The harlot is drunk with the blood of the saints because it's pointing to Jerusalem who killed the prophets according to Jesus (Matt.23).

Matt 23:37-38
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
KJV

In Rev.17 the harlot is covered in scarlet having seven heads and ten horns, so that's pointing to the idea of royalty and a kingdom.

Likewise in Rev.18, the harlot says she sits as a queen and is no widow, which is pointing that she is married to a king (but whom?).

Summary:

The harlot is a reigning city, i.e., Jerusalem, which is where the "dragon", or pseudo-Christ, or Antichrist, is coming to sit in a rebuilt temple, working great signs and wonders, proclaiming himself as God. He is given power to reign over the nations and over the saints for 42 months. He will ascend from the bottomless pit and kill God's two witnesses in Jerusalem after their 1260 day Testimony. It will be a time of world peace for the deceived, as craft will prosper in his hand. He will destroy many (spiritually) by peace.

That is the view when the various Bible Scriptures about that coming false one for the end is put together in understanding.

Yeah, gotta' get that down. No starches, nothing with flour in it. If you could eat nothing but fresh vegetables for a while, that might help.

Matt 24:5
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, "I am Christ"; and shall deceive many.
KJV

That is about the nut jobs, like Mooney cults, etc., deceiving those saying they are Christ, but not able to work great signs and wonders that would almost deceive Christ's elect. That is not about a singular antichrist John said would come in the first phrase of 1 John 2:18 which is to also work the great signs and wonders, or miracles.

Agreed, all the way up until Matthew 24:14 we have a Jesus speaking t the Disciples about their plight and the Churches plight. After Matthew 24:14 there will be no Church, because the Gospel will be preached unto all the world, THEN the end will come, then in verse 15 the Abomination of Desolation (AoD) happens, then Jews are told to Flee to the Wilderness/Mountains. We know this is the End Times because verse 21 says there will be the GREATEST TRIBULATION ever seen, V.22 says except the time is shortened (to a pre-planed 7 years by God) there would no flesh be saved, then V.24 says don't follow any false Christ's or false prophets. Then Jesus says if they say he is in the desert, don't go, if they say e is in a secret chamber, don't go, for I will come back from the East, in the Sky.

You see, I think these false prophets are Rabbis, lets face it, that is who they are. When they see Elijah preaching Jesus and preforming Miracles, there will be many False Prophets (Rabbis) trying to being forth the "REAL MESSIAH" because all the signs will be there that they know about, which we know about, EXCEPT.....They missed the First Coming altogether, and do not except Jesus as the Messiah, so they are going to try an FORCE a Messiah, many Rabbis will come forth with many Messiahs, all will be wrong, then there will be one False Prophet, who will try and deceive Israel to accept the Man of Sin/Beast/Anti-Christ as their Messiah, but by that time, Elijah will have turned their Hearts to their true Messiah, Jesus Christ, (Zechariah 12:10, Zechariah 13:1) and so Israel WILL NOT ACCEPT HIM, they instead have accepted Jesus as their Messiah, thus the False Prophet will place an IMAGE of the Beast in the Temple of God, and the Israelis will HEED Jesus' words, and flee......why would they flee to where Jesus told them to flee if they had not accepted Jesus as their Messiah by this time ? There will be some, no doubt that follow this F.P and A.C., but not many, ALL ISRAEL will turn to God, or Israel as a nation.

From Jesus' death until he returns at the Second Coming is the Great Tribulation, the 70th Week is just THE GREATEST TRIBULATION of all. We all go through the Tribulation and Trials of the Devil.

John 14:30
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in Me.

That is what John was talking about the first phrase of 1 John 2:18, that they had heard "antichrist" shall come:

1 John 2:18
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
KJV

That first part is about the coming of a singular antichrist entity. And they had heard already that he shall come, which is what Jesus was warning in the John 14:30 verse. In the Revelation 12:7 forward verses Jesus revealed it directly, yet many are still hard of hearing, not listening to Him.

Jesus in John 14:30 was speaking about Satan bringing people forth to Crucify him. In 1 John 2:18 its just speaking of how many  people will be anti-christ/Jesus, until the end when Jesus returns, when the real anti-Christ will show up. In Rev. 12:7, that actually happens at the time of the Abomination of Desolation, I can show you, but I will give you a hint.... Triangulate Daniel 11:45-12:1-2, Mathew 24:14-22 and Revelation 12:6-8 or 6-17 if you want..........These three match up perfectly, they show that Satan is cast out of Heaven just about the time of the Abomination of Desolation.

If you think the coming Antichrist is going to be some simple flesh man like a Mooney or L.Ron Hubbard, then you're going to be terribly surprised.

The many coming saying they are Christ of Matt.24:5 is what that is about.

The Matt.24:23-26 verses are not, but is of a different timing. You have to be able to rightly divide the Scripture, for Jesus was giving us the seven signs of the end there, in a particular sequence. The Matt.24 verse 5 false ones is for our times like today, prior to the tribulation. The 23-26 verses are for the tribulation timing Jesus was warning of. If you compare the signs in Matt.24 with Rev.6, Jesus was giving the seals of Rev.6; then you should be able to fathom the different timings.

Just like John said that "many antichrists" already are at work, Paul said the same thing in 2 Thess.2 when he said the "mystery of iniquity" was already at work in his day. But for the very end, i.e., the trib, this singular antichrist is going to show up working miracles, unlike a Mooney or Hubbard, and he has been given power to work 42 months to overcome the saints, and over all nations (Rev.13).

The Anti-Christ is the Man of Sin/Little Horn, The Assyrian. He is a MAN...He is the Leader of the Revived Roman Empire/Beast or a 10 Nation confederation, which many think will come forth from the E.U. after a shake up that reduces the Kingdoms to 10 nations. He comes out of the Sea, meaning he is a Gentile. The False Prophet comes out of the LAND meaning he is a Jew.

Like I said, you should read what Jesus said to the daughters of Jerusalem that wept for Him as He on the way to be crucified (Luke 23). It also appears you are not aware that it's deceived Israel that will be saying for the hills and mountains to fall upon them because of shame when Jesus appears.

It will be all men who served Satan, not just Jews. IMHO.
