We have the authority to choose who we like to REPRESENT our best interests. We also have the right to question and criticize those representatives (1st amendment). We are to be subject to one another as voters? In the United States of America, Government is the governing authority. The people who vote are the electorate. We the people elect officials to govern under our authority as a representative democracy in this constitutional republic.
