Does it ever occur to those who are in Christ that there is a committed effort among those who are only pretending? And as such they start discussions hoping to confuse the people of God. And the Word tells us how to recognize false teachers. Yes, we are to know people by their fruit. Eph 5:9 (for the fruit of the Spirit[fn] is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Gal 5:23 meekness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Gal 5:24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, Gal 5:21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. The people that I consider to be fruit inspectors are those who don't necessarily give God the prerogative to change us as He sees fit but who don't give people time to overcome bad habits, or who impose their own list of fruit to look for such as don't smoke, don't chew, don't miss a single service, don't have a one glass of wine with dinner, don't go to movies, possess a computer or smart phone, or possess a TV, don't ever vote for a democrat, don't ever dance with your husband, don't wear jewelry, don't cut your hair, don't wear deodorant, etc. If you do these thing you will surely go to hell. BTW, how would like to try to evangelize "believers" ... who have been radically deceived by Satan (through their churches)?
