Obedience is important yes, but it comes from walking with God

when He shows us something we are doing He disapproves of.

We dont obey so God approves of us.

Yes, but I'm warning those "believers" who are NOT walking with God.

I'm warning those who think they are going to Heaven, but are living like Hell.

I'm told the American churches are chuck full of these totally deceived ones!

Have I been told incorrectly?

My point is, is that our 'obedience' (otherwise known as 'fruit') is first based on His Obedience.

C'mon, we all know Jesus was obedient unto the Cross.

What do you do with? ... Jesus says we must overcome like He overcame! (Rev 3:21)

Think upon this.

Willa is wary of evangelists (of the which I am one).

Great, thanks and well done indeed.

As one of the newest persons to arrive here I find I need ask this after reading topics of this nature in different places.

Does it ever occur to those who are in Christ that there is a committed effort among those who are only pretending? And as such they start discussions hoping to confuse the people of God. And to start them arguing the spirit of God's word among themselves?

It tells us to test the spirits to see if they are of God.  And the Word tells us how to recognize false teachers.

Yes, we are to know people by their fruit.

Eph 5:9 (for the fruit of the Spirit[fn] is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Gal 5:23 meekness, self-control. Against such there is no law.  Gal 5:24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Gal 5:25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, Gal 5:21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

The people that I consider to be fruit inspectors are those who don't necessarily give God the prerogative to change us as He sees fit but who don't give people time to overcome bad habits, or who impose their own list of fruit to look for such as don't smoke, don't chew, don't miss a single service, don't have a one glass of wine with dinner, don't go to movies, possess a computer or smart phone, or possess a TV, don't ever vote for a democrat, don't ever dance with your husband, don't wear jewelry, don't cut your hair, don't wear deodorant, etc.  If you do these thing you will surely go to hell.  And yes, I have heard all of these in my lifetime.

Several years ago, I warned in several forums that

Satan's henchmen were at the door of every forum

with the express purpose of causing problems!

I do appreciate good evangelists whom the Lord has used in peoples lives.  You seem to believe you are one.  I am looking for good biblical fruit both in your words and from your effort.

Bewarest thou be, for I am wary of fruit inspectors!

BTW, how would like to try to evangelize "believers" ...

who have been radically deceived by Satan (through their churches)?

FYI, this is the day of the Laodicean churches that Jesus complained about.

Yes, we see it here more than not.  Wolves in sheep clothing.
