The Mark of the Beast, the Name of the Beast or the Number of its Name, and 666

This study goes over what the mark of the beast is in its two forms, the "name of the beast" and the "number of its name", and what it means to receive the mark on the forehead or the right hand. Also explains what 666 means.

I largely agree with the article on www.wisdomofgod. Some important addition: the name of the beast is indicated in the Bible itself.

 

The name of the beast-666 is "prosperity", In Greek - ευπορια = 5 + 400 + 80 + 70 + 100 +10 + 1 = 666 (Acts 19:25, compare with 1 Cor. 15:32).

"... you know that from this craft is dependent your Prosperity".

(Acts 19:25)

The US is the seventh head of the beast. A detailed article in very bad English (and in Russian) is here.

The US is not the seventh head, it is the second beast of Revelation.

Have you ever heard of those who, at Easter in Jerusalem,  which makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth before the people? It began in those centuries when Christianity was made the state religion of the Roman Empire.

The second beast is a spirit in religion. And the first beast comes out of the sea, which is the world. This is the entire world system, the entire present civilization. The head of the "beast" is the empire dominating the whole world.

The second beast is a religion that makes everyone bow to the first beast. And there is "the image of the beast." This is a specific person, the head of the "head" of the first beast.

When the Ezekiel's Temple is built, the chosen saints will come together, leaving the environment where the second beast operates today, which can be called the "spirit of antichrist".

Then we will see who is who.

It has nothing to do with religion, it has to do with lifestyle. Just as the first beast symbolizes kingdoms that had lifestyles that were sinful, so does the second beast as well. And it deceives the world to buy into its financial way of life, music, movies, sexual deviancy, etc. It impresses the world with its power, and as such, it causes the deception.

I don't toe the line with Les Feldick (Bible teacher) on every detail he teaches, but he is certainly right about the focus of scripture and God's plan: saving Israel.

From Genesis to Revelation...

The purpose for the great tribulation (the time of Jacob's Trouble Jeremiah 30:7) is to get Israel on board the Messianic bandwagon. 

The overemphasis on Rome and the US and in some accounts England are unbiblical. Israel / Jerusalem are the focal points that should interest the Bible student and prophecy / eschatology buff.

Yes there are mentions and prophecies of surrounding nations and cities and whatnot... but the focus should remain on Israel.

We are currently in the age of grace / time of the Gentiles ending with the tribulation of the saints (Revelation 12:17-13:18).... which will lead up to the great tribulation. 

666 is the number of the false messiah who will seduce and convince Israel and the whole world (that aren't Christians) that he (the false messiah) is the true messiah and that Jesus was a fraud.

Taking the mark of this beast is to ally / believe in him and to reject the true Messiah, Jesus. The mark is therefore is a simple mark showing whose side one is on... thus exposing and weeding out (for tracking purposes) those who are on the side of Christ (who will not accept the mark). It's just that simple, and MAY BE the current Star of David (Shield of Solomon) which the beast in that day will use as that mark.

I am NOT saying the current use of the Star of David / Shield of Solomon is satanic but that it MIGHT BE in the 70th Week of Daniel.

This beast will be Jewish and for a time will convince the world (except for Christians) that he is the messiah and that Old Testament Judaism is the true religion of God.

Then this will begin to unravel as age old animosities prevail.

You want to know what time it is on the prophetic clock? Look at Israel... Jerusalem... Temple Mount.

When the beast shows up and convinces the world he is the messiah he will rebuild the Jewish Temple and once the Christians are eliminated (and/or raptured), he will defile the Temple and renege on his covenant with Israel and revert to the plains of Shinar / Babylon where Nimrod (Satan's Moses) built the 5 cities there and Neo-Babylonianism will replace the Old Testament Judaism the beast championed. The Jews will revolt and become the refuseniks the Christians previously were so the Jews will be the ones the world hates and comes down on harder than ever before.

And as the Armageddon scenario is about to play out they cry out for Jesus (until then everything else has been tried). And when they do he will come and save them!

We cannot know when the 70th Week will begin.

We can backdate it from the time the rebuilt temple is defiled and the future Levitical sacrifices are abated.

I'm in transition right now but have posted charts and scriptures to support this which have gone unrefuted by anyone using scriptures...

Arguments from traditions of man or church or just a stubborn refusal to believe what's clearly in the Bible do not interest me. BTW.

It is the beast, Abaddon/Apollyon .... that is what the scriptures tell about who will come out of the abyss and rule over the Middle East during the coming tribulation period

This fallen angel is Satan's pick for ruling over the 7 Middle Eastern kingdoms .... 5 have fallen ending with the 5th of Antiochus IV, and there are 2 more of his kingdoms to come during the 7 year tribulation period still pending [Revelation 9:11; 11:7; 13;1-4; 17:1-17]

His 6th kingdom will be the smaller kingdom of the human little horn described in Daniel 7; 8:9-25; 11:36]

This kingdom will be expanded into the 7th and final kingdom of the beast

666 is his number and signifies Satan, the beast, and the human little horn
