The U.S. has tested an advanced upgrade to existing nuclear bombs over the Nevada desert, apparently it was a success.  I'd say this is not a coincidence, considering the current climate around the world, but these weapons have been in development for several years.

It's interesting that an f16 was delivering the bomb.

Yes, I didn't catch that.  I wonder why an F-16?  Why not a more advanced airplane?

Might have wanted to stick with what was reliable.  Do not want a plane issue to mess up your test.

Not really sure.  F-16 is  bit lighter weight than F-15 and 18, so they may think if the 16 can carry it the others could also.

F-16 is a bit more maneuverable.      16 is also very reliable......  also I might add that most of Israeli planes are 16s.  Might have something to do3ith it.

Probably because of its weight and use...if they can use a F-16 successfully, then you know that all our other fighters can as well, and our allies such as isreal, because the F-16 is a very light fighter aircraft, it wasn't even designed originally to deliver bombs.

That's a possibility.  But the timing is very interesting indeed.

I am sure the timing was no accident.  Funny that the NK missile/rocket failed today!
