People hold to their position in the faith of righteousness, or right-ness with God's will and plan. No faulting that.

If women were not called to serve the Father and deliver his Son's testament to the world there wouldn't be a single woman pastor serving God anywhere on his created earth. But there are. And that then is the final evidence that sustains the scriptures, delivers the words of Christ to those who seek hungrily for salvation , and operate in service to their calling.

All else is opinion to the contrary. God's purpose is greater always in all ways.

Cheers,

:)

This makes no sense, just because people are doing something does not mean it is ordained by God.   Using this logic Fred Phelps was just doing the work of God when he was spreading his hate.

Fred Phelps is dead and has zero to do with this topic.

Just because people want to take scripture out of context to support the contention that God exercises gender bias doesn't make it true. Just because people want to corrupt Paul's letters to his churches and disregard his statement concerning oneness and that there is no gender difference between men and women when we are all one in Christ, and that necessarily means we are one when God calls us to his service, doesn't mean the bias is true. Doesn't mean God agrees women can't be preachers.

Doesn't mean that women preachers that are in the world are, as some hope to communicate to the world, all condemned and not in actual service under God's anointing.

No. All it means for the effort people make to speak for God and against women preachers is those peoples argument can't be sustained by Jesus Christ himself. It can only be sustained by reworking the letters of Paul to say what they need them to say. And in the process make Paul look like he double talked himself. Which of course he did not do.

This is the blessing of discernment among the saints . God is bigger than the human ego that intones bigotry as of God. No. That is a sin Jesus came to eradicate. By example. Because in that culture of the time a man with women in his company among his apostles would not have been tolerated. Discrimination against women was huge then. Jesus exampled the opposite of that divisiveness by having women with him in his travels. Jesus and God made it so that a woman would discover he had arisen from the tomb.

A woman delivered that good news to the disciples in the upper room. And called them to come see for themselves. Men obeying a woman beckoning them to obey and they did. That wasn't done in the culture then either. But it was done and it did occur among the followers of Christ. Because he taught them that they were all one in his love.

Those who think that stops at preaching are not aware. There's no talking that into anything different. Not when the Bible and a God bigger than the false god that is bigotry know the truth. And the world full of women pastors, some who have given their lives to stand for the word, are proof God knows what he's doing. While man opines to the contrary.God see's that too.

But his work is being carried on, so by your logic it is ordained by God.

I never said that.

Gender bias? As a whole your statement here is what is refereed to as special pleading as if any argument wish includes Gods designs needs such a thing. God's designs are well documented all the way through the Bible and the rolls of men and women are not subject to the times or the age we are in.

No, not even going to get into it. When Fred Phelps was dug up and brought into this thread the debate side that did that lost.

Believe what you want. Claim what you wish of God and his calling people to his service. God knows.
That there are women the world over delivering the truth of Christ and have been since Jesus time speaks for itself.

And that's the beautiful thing , the beautiful difference, between God and man.

What speaks for itself is God and he does it in the Bible. The rest of us are just referring to that as a guideline to what is expected of us as those who follow him.  Many things have been said to be open to interpretation by those who feel a need to read into scripture to find things they assume should be there, but those who Christ left to guide his church has never not been men.  Since it is his word and it has stood the test of time, i think there is a good reason for that and it's not bigotry or having a bias.

Last time I looked --the LORD GOD doesn't care what people think!

And I'm sure he also doesn't want His people to mis-apply his word and take it out of context either.....like those old Southern men back in the 1800s who wanted to justify their keeping of slaves by quoting a couple of verses from Paul.

Hey, what a coincidence....that is also what you are doing! ?

Um, I don't know what you are relating to with this.

If this is what I think it is and is a dishonest use of imagery against those who people disagree with their views. What part of what has been spoken about here can in any way be on any level be equated to misuse of scripture?

Why is it that anyone would think that there were any great majority of people used scripture to justify slavery, especially since it concentrates on the South as if there were no slave owners in the North. Those who wrote the constitution owned slaves. How many people in the South as a percentage even owned slaves?

This whole entire post seems to reek of prejudisim and spite and I have no idea why it was even posted the way it was.  Is this a tactic that needs to be embraced here?
