Just now, Heb 13:8 said:

Rev 3:3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

Ah, I see.  You think Jesus will leave some of His children behind, gotcha. ;)

I believe in what the apostles say....and what you are saying is not what John or Paul is saying. Focusing on that, instead of me.

No, I was asking you what you believe.  If you actually cared about others one would think you would want to point them to the truth, right?

No, that would be adding to the book.

Nah, he comes even for sleepy believers that never warned their family and friends.

What do you think Im doing, instead I find you dithering now....

Explain how you can apply Johns usage of the word soul inconsistently.

Or explain where Paul taught we are to be naked in front of the Lord

I think you are being disagreeable just to be disagreeable.  If I think someone is wrong, then I support my position with scripture and the reasons for that.  All you are doing is saying I'm wrong, and offering no explanation.

Explain how John can quote a group that isn't there?

Paul doesn't teach us to be naked, he says while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord, but we are confident to be absent from the body and present with the Lord.  And the body he is speaking of is the earthly tent, as established in the first sentence.

To be clothed and unclothed is referring to first resurrection wingnut. Read 1 Cor 15:50-54.

I know the passage, pay attention to the part that says ALL are changed in a moment, the twinkling of an eye.

Now you just insulted me, i am now of the opinion you actually dont read what I write

I think I was very clear in my explanations with scriptural support.

Ok, we are misunderstanding each other.  What I am asking you is what I asked you before, what happens when we die?  Does the soul decay in the grave with the body?  What about those who are cremated?  What happens to their souls?

And of course I'll ask again how John can quote a group that isn't there?

Right wingnut, we are changed from old body to new body in the twinkling of an eye. We don't exist as wind and breath in heaven.

Im still not finding nakedness anywhere

I thought I just made this clear

What do you not understand here? What part?

In Rev 12:11, soul means mortal life — the life one gives up when he dies.

In Rev 18:13, soul is being referred to slaves, that is, human life in captivity.

In Rev 18:14, soul refers to the man prior to death.

John is very consistent with this word soul to describe a the whole of a human being.

When you turn to Rev 6:9 it appears superficially that you think John is referring to the "inmortal" part of a human.

it looks like im addressing it here not so?

If you look at Rev 12  Rev 12:11 also refers to martyrs again  they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

The word lives , here is the same greek word for soul.

They did not love their souls so much as to shrink from death.

John uses words like Life and Soul interchangeably.

Lev 17:11 has this same wordplay

For the  life (soul)  of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your  souls (life) , for it is the blood that makes atonement by the  life (soul)

Rev 6:9 is about life, because the point John is making is that the martyrs have given up their lives in the form of shed blood, the life is in the blood, and so their blood/lives are now underneath the altar as a sacrifice, but a sacrifice which cries out for God’s justice. It’s exatcly what the the Bible speaks of, ..... there being life in the blood.

John is reaffirmin an OT teaching and telling us we the living must be like the martyrs to not love our lives/souls.

Key word here is blood

I am completely consistent with Johns usage of the word soul, throughout Revelation.

I disagree, following the cross everything changed.  What the OT teaches and what the Jews believed were two compartments in sheol, one for the faithful and one for the non-believers.  All of that changed following the cross, when Jesus died on the cross Abraham's bosom was emptied (Matthew 27)  Refer to OneLight's post for more detail.
