Mat 6:19 “Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; Mat 6:20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; Mat 6:21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. God speaks specifically to different ones in the OT and also to groups, Israel and the Nations. He spoke to them specific words for them to believe Him for. When Jesus was manifest on earth He spoke of things that Israel needed to believe Him for - eg the coming millennial reign where they would rule the nations. Now today, Jesus the Head of the Body, speaks to us through His word and reveals His purpose for us. And that involves trials and temptations and for us to be overcomers. (2Co 1:4) In this life we are promised the fruits of the Spirit such as peace, love, and joy in the next we will lack nothing. It is truly a blessing to have peace, love and joy in my life. And the blessings of the Lord came later and overcame what Job had lost during his trial. And Job never lost his peace, his hope, nor his love for God. We should all pray we are as strong as Job.
