I am not trying to speak for Steve, but it appears that his point is that the moral/ethical paradigm that is present within the Mosaic law would be good for everyone. He is not advocating stoning adulterers or Sabbath breakers. You forcing a meaning on to his words that he did not intend, that is both unfair and uncalled for. However, I did not. The very simple point that I was making is that all the things that God hates are damaging to humanity and limiting as many of those things as you can in any given society is going to make that society function a lot more smoothly in general. You did say this: I think a fair argument could be made that at least the laws governing behavior in ancient israel were probably not a terrible idea if you want to have a healthy and functional society in place. Which actually has no place in a thread about a female Jihadist calling for the death of our president. As it stands we're entirely off topic so I'll leave it at that.
