AGAIN - This is a post to a thread that is years old! "Mark" is no longer here.

Did you not notice that one of my quotes is from 2005? That is not true, I posted it only a few weeks ago! I didnt even kno this site in 2005! So thank you for your comment but I wouldnt take too much notice of the dates!

are you in a time warp?

:whistling:

I have NO idea wats happening! I use to go in the chat room wen I first joined, as one of my friends who live closed by use to go in it too. Then I didnt go on this site for years. It has only been this year that I have realy taken any notice of this part of the site. Its probably Satan bringing confusion in again. i wrote to a friend of mine an email who is currently on something called "The World Race" part of the Adventures in Missions. The email was about spitual warfare and she decided to email it to all her team of 32 people. Later she sent me a response and I noticed at the bottom was my original email but now some of the words had all changed. One sentance actually said "Jesus trouble!". I wrote back and asked her if she had changed it....she said no! Members of the team ended up with a load of untruths! Satan just loves to bring confusion!

I definately take notice of the dates. I've been here since 2002. You have to dig back in the threads to find these old ones. You don't get to them by viewing latest posts.

I may have joined in 2005 but i havent been on this site for years, it is only recently within the last few months, i came back. As far as the threads go, it makes no difference to me (and obviously others who have responded to me) how old the thread is. Lets face it, the bible is not new but many still want to discuss and learn new truths from it.

You seem to have an issue with me doing this?

Yes, I do have an issue with it when you reply to members who can no longer respond since they've not been here for years. I also take "issue" with it when you tell me that you recently added those posts when the dates are clear as day. Then you say that "satan" caused the confusion?

Yes - I take issue with it.

So let me get this straight, you dont believe that Satan, the old ancient demon that has been around since before the creation of man, the one who is not human, the one who used to stand in the glorious presence of God seeing unspeakable things, knowing unspeakable truths that go far beyong human understanding cannot change a few binary codes on a PC if he felt like?

And are you also telling me that even if it wasnt Satan playing games then I am not allowed to say anything on old threads? The bible is 100s of years old yet the deep truths remain the same. And like I have, suddenly appeared after years of not being on here, dont you think someone might benifit from words spoken, insight given if they suddenly decide to reappear after years of not being here? God might lead someone on here and they might find the words they needed to hear at a given point in time. Or do you not think God does things like that? Do you think He also is only limited to this time?

If God asked me to write on a thread just so someone could be blessed in 5 years time when they stumble across it then it would be so worth doing. Please dont limit God and those that follow Him.

Personally I don't see what the problem is.

Change binary code? Come on....

You are responding to a person who, not only no longer exists on this board, but who, frankly, was banned for his contrary behavior. Not only can he not respond to your comments, he wouldn't.

Want to raise the issue again, provide feedback, reference some comments made in this thread? great! Do so....as another post.

I am not fully persuaded either way but i have not yet seen how Pauls instructions can be cultural when he goes on to give the reason of created order between men and women in Genesis. Before i became a Christian i was all for sharing roles, but now i just cannot feel comfortable with a women teaching me or upsurping a man or young men older men, or children their parents.

Some use the arguement that if men wont step up to the plate God will use women, but i dont see how we can put aside clear instruction from the bible.

In 1 Chron 13:9 Uzzah ignored Gods commandments about who could touch the ark and paid for it with his life, and Saul lost his place in the kingdom when he thought it best to help God out instead of being obedient to the known laws. So the church is in danger when we move the ancient boundary marks.

Jesus also has made it clear that even if we can do miracles and cast out demons, the standard for entry into heaven is faith that leads to obedience and He will say to all "workers of iniquity" "depart from me, i never knew you".

Again we are warned that "even if an Angel" should bring a teaching contrary to the bible we should not accept it. So the arguement that a women does as good a job and appears to be used by God does not hold water in my books as it has to be scriptural, and apart from isolated cases of women ministering to the needs of the apostles etc, all the commands for positions of authority over men is for men.

In this last age we are seeing unprecedented changes in the church but we are not seeing better results, infact divorce is rampant, homosexuals are being ordained and greed is being passed off as Gods prosperity. While this does not prove women are not to preach or teach it is enough to ask why it is only a recent change in church teaching.

I would like to hear which denominations in the USA still disallow women preachers, as here in NZ nearly all allow women in the pulpit which makes it hard to see how they can all be wrong.

Head coverings are also claimed to be only cultural and i can say that it is very foreign thing in my culture before and after i came to Christ. So if we accept one we must accept the other i would think as they both are direct commands from Paul.

Sure the ones I know of make up the largest denominations in the United States when added together.

Southern Baptist Convention: Largest US non-Catholic denomination in the US

Roman Catholic Church:

Lutheran Church Missouri Synod

Lutheran Church Wisconsin Synod

Orthodox Presbyterian Church

Some Reformed Churches

Some non-denominational Churches

Eastern Orthodox Churches

There are others those are just the ones I know about. But keep in mind ordaining women is a new concept initiated in response to the radical feminist movement of the 1970's. Also the churches above represent the majority of Christians in the world in number. As a point of an aside I belong to a denomination which does not ordain women.

From a female perspective. If Jesus wanted women to preach don't you think He would have made at least one of His Apostles a woman? :emot-hug::noidea: Jesus gave honor to His earthly mother Mary and did in fact help other women but no where did I find women who "preached". I believe a woman has a special role in nurturing in the church and to teach the children but preaching is best left to the men.

Is there a difference between preaching and leading as an overseer, such as a Bishop, Deacon or Elder? I think that there is. Exhortation i.e. preaching seems to me something that we all can do, it does not signify being an overseer.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
