Obama supporters are still thinking it's 2008.  Their leftist god is not in the White House now and it's eating them alive.  They don't want a REAL President; they want their Marxist idol or they'll have hissy fits.  I think it's funny myself.

Speaking of a lack of respect for the office

After 8 years of Obama being called everything from the Anti-Christ to a Muslim to a traitor and more, now you complain about the office not being respected?

No politics there!  :24:

This is really a poor comparison. Except for some radicals, our opposition to Obama was policy-based and not the irrational, deranged, psychotic hate that characterizes anti-Trumpers.

1. We did not call for Obama's impeachment (even thought he committed impeachable acts).

2. We did not harass Obama's family

3. We did not threaten, boycott, or otherwise harass celebrities or other public figures for their choice to support Obama

4. We did not beat up Obama supporters

5. We did not create a toxic environment such that openly supporting Obama would actually destroy friendships and families

6. We did not create an environment of such violence that made people think twice about exercising their first amendment rights in open support Obama or his policies.

7. We did not and still do not threaten and vandalize universities or any other institution that hosts liberal speakers on their campuses who supported Obama.

8. Our opposition to Obama was based on the rampant scandals that he allowed under his watch and did nothing to have anyone investigated for those scandals. Instead, every effort was made to cover up those scandals.

9. Our opposition to Obama stemmed from his illegal use of EO  to make law and change existing laws when he thought that Congress might not give him what he wanted.

10.  The charge about call Obama a Muslim is interesting because Muslim sympathizers that have a school-girl crush on Muslims are offended when Obama was suspected of being a Muslim.   If Muslims are so wonderful why would it offensive or disrespectful to call Obama a Muslim?  I would think the Left would be thrilled and proud to discover that not only they did they manage to get the first black president in office, but a Muslim to boot!

11. Our opposition to Obama was the fact that Obama, for a year or more, repeatedly lied to the American people about the cost of Obamacare and lied repeatedly about how we would be able to keep our preferred doctors, that we didn't have to give up our plan, and he lied about prescription drug coverage as well, and he knew he was lying, but was willing to lie in order to sell Obamacare.   He was a liar and calling him a liar doesn't disrespect the office.

12.  Our opposition to Obama only heightened when he did nothing to quell the rampant violence of the Black Lives Matter movement and was almost completely silent when it came to the almost daily/weekly wholesale murder of police officers.

13. Our opposition to Obama didn't disrespect the office, given that Obama himself didn't respect the office.

The truth is that Obama was NEVER the recipient of the kind of unbridled hate that is being directed from all sides at Trump.

Trump's biggest crime is that he was elected as president and the anti-Trumpers hated him from day one. It's not policy related, but is purely personal and there is a campaign to destroy Trump and his family.   Because that is the anti-freedom, totalitarian mentality of the Left and its opposition to Trump.

Legitimate criticism of Obama isn't a lack of respect for the office of president.  He was/is a Marxist.  And he was treated like a god by the Left, especially in his first term.

The entire media has maintained a consistent mantra of calling Trump a racist and claiming that he got elected on a white supremacist platforml

Green is the only color Trump is fond of, but I doubt that makes him a racist. And if he's not, why did it take POTUS three days to renounce racism by naming the specific groups responsible?

Trump condemned the violence and bigotry on both sides because both sides were guilty of the violence.   The counter protestors picked the fight to start with.  They provoked the rally into a violent riot and things got way out of hand on both sides....

... but only one side killed someone -- the same side that voted for Donald Trump in 2016! And after losing the popular vote by more than 2 million ballots, Prez Trump isn't going to alienate any of his base because he needs every vote for 2020.

But if you disagree with this, then please explain this story.

President Trump launches first campaign ad for 2020 election -- 1282 days away

"The 2020 election season has officially begun.

"President Donald Trump launched his first campaign ad for re-election on Monday, 1,282 days before the next presidential election. The 30-second commercial, paid for by Donald J. Trump for President Inc. and approved by Trump, focuses on his first 100 days in office.

"'America has rarely seen such success,' a narrator says in the video. 'America is winning and President Trump is making America great again....'"

http://www.syracuse.com/politics/index.ssf/2017/05/trump_2020_election_campaign_ad.html

Prez Trump is already running for re-election for a job he presently isn't even doing.

No, it was an attempt to keep Trump from actually denouncing David Duke....

The only thing that was preventing Donald Trump from denouncing David Duke was Donald Trump.

Sorry , perhaps you've not had time since 2001 to brush up on the Islamic terrorism that has been going on & escalated over the 8 yrs under the Obama administration. Obama would not call "Islamic Jihad" terrorists - just that Islamic Jihad.  That was what Trump and TONS of others were referring to .

Yes, and just as Obama couldn't say "radical Islamic terrorist" after 9-11, Trump was having trouble spelling KKK after Charlottesville.

Hypocrisy.
