He was a good man and a courageous pope. He took a stand against abortion, gay marriage when it was not popular to do so. I am not catholic, but I just feel that he has been holding back a darkness that seems to be spreading and getting darker over the entire world. I know he loved the Lord and will be resurrected when Christ returns. I will be praying for our catholic brothers and sisters. He loaded the College of Cardinals with men like himself. We are quite likely to have a very good Pope as his successor.

I had been hoping for him to recover from his problems. The new Pope will have a lot to deal with I am sure. I hope whoever that will be will be as strong as this one. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with his doctrinal beliefs, you must admit he was a world leader in promoting the dignity of all human life. He said no to much of what a lost world said yes to. A major blow to Christian standards if the Catholic Church can't find a man who was like minded. I pray that they do. This Pope was a very fine man. God Bless John Paul Dan
