what exactly is sorcery

The scripture verse below list sorcery as one of the ways that Babylon deceived ALL the nations.   What exactly or in your own descriptive words is sorcery.  Please no one liners, as this needs to be grasp by the saints here to a good understanding of what it entails. 

Revelation 18    King James Version (KJV)

²³ And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

Black Magic, Witchcraft.

The use of demonic/Satanic power instead of the power of God.

 

Like Jannes and Jambres who were Pharaoh's Magicians in Exodus 7:10-12 

Also, Elymas in Acts 13:8-12  and Simon in Acts 8:9-25

Isaiah 47 also talks about it:

Great. Am i right if i interpret the scripture verse  in Rev. 18:23  as the  Merchants and businessmen or businesses are using sorcery for profit and gain today or what opinion you may have on this verse.

I believe that it's definitely apart of it. 

Matthew 4:8-10 talks about Satan tempting The Lord Yeshua Messiah with Earthly Kingdoms:

 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.  And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”

 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you,Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”

 

The whole system is "Rigged" pretty much.

I brought this topic to light as to say, this world that we live in today is filled with things that the eyes can see, like las vegas and even more abominable things that is not seen, but nevertheless is taking place with our trading system and commerce.  Other aspects of the magic world is also being practiced, acts that are strictly forbidden, but men are getting results that mystery babylon is intoxicating them with.  It is happening for real, but because the acts are not seen, most people think our world just has good and evil men, but the hidden things that are taking place today are just like how rev 18 describes it.

So True.

The sad part is when The Holy Spirit shows you people who you thought were real Christians that were actually "Tares Among The Wheat" pretending to be Christians and were closet Occultist/Sorcerers. There are A bunch of them too.
