There is no basis  for Jesus who is God without Israel.

I take a bit of umberage with this, Israel is a creation of God, to say that there can be no Christ without Israel is to say that there can be no God without Israel.

You are putting Creation above Creator, and limiting God. Through him which all things are possible.

I don't think that's a very nice thing to do to him.

you are really missing the spirit behind neighbours post....he has been gracious to me and expressing his and His love for Israel. SO what if you differ, extend a bit of grace yourself.

Well that's okay, and the biblical Israel is very important, but just don't limit God or put Israel above God.

"Then it will be known to the ends of the earth
that God rules over Jacob."

-- Psalm 59

Surrender to the Lord Jesus before it is too late. Obey the Gospel!

YHVH chose Israel out from all the other pagan heathen gentile nations, and He will restore Israel soon.

As He Promised Abraham,  everyone, anyone, who harms or even seeks to harm Israel, YHVH curses.

Everyone, anyone, who helps and blesses Israel,  YHVH blesses.

By YHVH'S CHOICE,  YHVH BROUGHT SALVATION THROUGH ISRAEL to the world.

neighbour sir, I am humbled and amazed you were gracious to my cheek - A 58 yr old to 74. The Lord certainly lives in you and has talked to me.  No, not talked but convicted. My own rescue was gracious for my motive for coming to Jesus were very selfish...but it didn't seem to matter to the Lord! Never really pursued knowing about the Jews, in too-hard basket. Now I can't cope emotionally with difficult things.

Psalm 122:1-8 The Voice (VOICE)

Psalm 122

A song [of David][a] for those journeying to worship.

This is a Davidic psalm celebrating the grandeur and significance of Jerusalem and its temple. It is ironic that Jerusalem means “city of peace” since more battles have been fought over it than over any other city.

I was so happy when my fellow pilgrims said,
“Let’s go to the house of the Eternal!”
We have made the journey, and now we are standing
    within your gates, O Jerusalem.

Jerusalem! What a magnificent city!
Buildings so close together, so compact.
God’s people belong here. Every tribe of the Eternal
    makes its way to Jerusalem
Just as God decreed for Israel
to come together and give thanks to the Eternal.
In Jerusalem, justice is the order of the day because there sit the judges
and kings, the descendants of David.

Ask heaven to grant peace to Jerusalem:
“May those who love you prosper.
O Jerusalem, may His peace fill this entire city!
May this citadel be quiet and at ease!”
It’s because of people—my family, friends, and acquaintances
that I say, “May peace permeate you.”

Psalm 122:1-8 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

122 (0) A song of ascents. By David:

(1)I was glad when they said to me,
“The house of Adonai! Let’s go!”

2 Our feet were already standing
at your gates, Yerushalayim.

3 Yerushalayim, built as a city
fostering friendship and unity.

4 The tribes have gone up there, the tribes of Adonai,
as a witness to Isra’el,
to give thanks to the name of Adonai.
5 For there the thrones of justice were set up,
the thrones of the house of David.

6 Pray for shalom in Yerushalayim;
may those who love you prosper.
7 May shalom be within your ramparts,
prosperity in your palaces.

8 For the sake of my family and friends, I say,
“Shalom be within you!”

Psalm 122:1-8 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
Psalm 122
A Song of [a]Ascents. Of David.

1 I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of the Lord!

2 Our feet are standing within your gates, O Jerusalem!—

3 Jerusalem, which is built as a city that is compacted together—

4 To which the tribes go up, even the tribes of the Lord, as was decreed and as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the Lord.

5 For there the thrones of judgment were set, the thrones of the house of David.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! May they prosper who love you [the Holy City]!

7 May peace be within your walls and prosperity within your palaces!

8 For my brethren and companions’ sake, I will now say, Peace be within you!

Psalm 122:1-8 New International Version (NIV)
Psalm 122
A song of ascents. Of David.

1
I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
2
Our feet are standing
    in your gates, Jerusalem.

3
Jerusalem is built like a city
    that is closely compacted together.
4
That is where the tribes go up—
    the tribes of the Lord—
to praise the name of the Lord
according to the statute given to Israel.
5
There stand the thrones for judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.

6
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be secure.
7
May there be peace within your walls
    and security within your citadels.”
8
For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”

And these speak so gloriously of New Jerusalem/heavenly Zion.........but I worry for those whose minds are on earthly things, that they are going to fall prey to a false messiah in an earthly temple.

Realizing , right, that that did happen already ?  (thousands of years ago,  so to speak).

Yes,  also likely to be again, worse, soon,  although "worse" is very difficult to imagine as bad as the dark ages were,

yet several or more posters have noted how much worse it is TODAY than it was (or SEEMED) in 1960,  having gotten worse in so many ways and places every decade....  (after nationwide prayer was stopped).... (in most schools)....

It seems as though many unnatural branches are being broken off now in the falling away of the church, to make room for the natural branches to be grafted back in.
