Facebook is a highway express for coveting, there is an entire ocean of the tears of broken families that facebook directly shattered. There is nothing worse than a now married person reconnecting with a past lover through social media. Bad things arise when that happens, certain things need to stay buried. Somebody brags and you feel like a failure, someone brags and suddenly you feel like your partner is failure. It is very true when Jesus said that it's what comes out of a person's mouth that makes them unclean, and pride is the worst sin of them all. Facebook gives these people a podium, in that you can see why the Creature delights in social media. When I don't get sleep, I usually get a lot of prayers done in my head. so that's the one good thing abotu insomnia, they are an opportunity to turn darkness into light, which is no easy feat. But I sometimes have 5+ hour nights which are utterly exhausting and taxing on the spirit. I used to take benadryl to help me go to sleep, but it gave me nightmares, weird thoughts, and lowered by sleep quality significantly. Ever since getting off Benadryl and other sleep meds I've been sleeping MUCH better... I usually fall asleep after about 2 hours in bed, It used to be much worse, but like you say sleep meds are no long term solution. But how grateful do you feel the next morning when you actually go to sleep! Thank God for each one of those, as they are very precious. I know that feeling very well. Good quality restful sleep is too important. Anyways, be sure not to expose yourself to blue light some hours before sleep, (monitors, television), if you're using a computer there is usually a setting to enable the "night light" to go on at certain hours, which changes the monitors blue light into red/orange, and don't drink any caffeine 4 hours before bed as I read it takes about 4 hours for caffeine to flush out the system. Your faith is being tested, it's not going to be fun and easy all the time so what you see as a "dry spell" know that it is in PRECISELY those moments that you have to hold on to him. These moments are what makes faith stronger, just as the stress on our muscles make us stronger when he use them, it's uncomfortable yes, but keep on persevering and you will be stronger for it. You might only have one friend, but that makes you all the more blessed for having that one. Take it with grace that God gave them to you, because you weren't far from an alternative where they wouldn't have been present. So consider yourself very very lucky to have them, and receive them with gratitude because they may well have came from the heavenly one above who took pity on you, be happy in that and beware of wanting more than what's given to you from above. Few people are actually parents nowadays, and a lot of children are raised by single mothers whom have to balance their children with a career, which is not compatible, it's either one or the other. Children misbehave when their parents misbehave. We like to blame the youth, but who raised them? Being a parent isn't easy but nobody should go into parenthood with that expectation, you invest your life into the child -- not the other way around. Yes --The natural branches of the children of the kingdom can be grafted back in through belief.
