Actually, works show faith completed as Abraham's faith was climaxed when he was willing to sacrifice Isaac.

Works add not one scintilla to our sanctification, they only show it forth as fruit on a  tree.

Who said anything about our sanctification .  ITS the SPIRIT that sanctifies us .     all I said was works perfect our faith .

Just wanted to know why people resist so much doing good works, such as sanctification.

We as Christians should not be questioning whenever it is mentioned. It gives a bad impression.

It would be so much better if we talked: Sanctification?! Yes, the Lord Jesus does it all... Completely... And it is a joy!

Anyone in particular on this forum??

Sorry, but it is what I feel.

It is so sad when I see Christians discouraging the practice of good works in Christ and trying to encourage a dead faith, that is taught nowhere in the Bible.

"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." - James 1:22

I agree with Yowm 100 per cent. We cannot add anything to our justification. How could we ?

And who are those people? Are you including yourself?

angels4u, I just want peace. Especially among brothers and sisters... But it is hard to find people who just hear, believe, and do.

"Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children,
you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 18:3

Those people are whoever they feel are for them. I just post what I believe I should.

God bless you in Jesus' name!

Then stop judging everybody  as they are all unbelievers, you have to answer for all your words and actions, what will you answer if Jesus ask you why you accuse the brethren?

Judging Others

1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?

5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.Matt.7:1-5

5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!2 Cor.13:5

I guess we do have two diffrent interpretation of scripture. But one i dont accuse anyone of not wanting to be holy.Because of my understanding of justification. Be holy for i am holy we need to work out in our lifes. But it does not add to our inputed righteousness. Christ said love one another as i have loved you.

And you accuse me of accusing others. I can be wrong, and you as well.

"But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ." - 1 Corinthians 2:15-16

"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the
life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." - Galatians 2:20

But I believe I did nothing wrong. Unless you can convict me otherwise.

What did we do wrong that you accuse us all to repent?
