Grace to you,

The deadline is your decision to Serve the Lord or someone else. Which may include yourself. It's your life, it's your decision.

I saked this in another thread. What is the deadline for repentance. How far does God extend his grace? Would God really allow most of His children to suffer eternal damnation? Wouldn't that indicate victory for satan?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I don't think there is a particular deadline. But certainly, we must believe and repent to be saved.

God doesn't send people to hell. People do, by their own actions/inactions.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Since there appears to be no deadline, I would just leave it at God doesn't send people to hell

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Again, this is not true. There is a deadline. The deadline is the day of your death. You have until you die to make a decision for Christ. God does not SEND people to hell, but people will go to hell if they reject Christ. The minute you die, it is over, there is no salvation for you, no hope if you are lost. You do not get a second chance after death.

Gerioke, Universalism which is what you are promoting, is a lie. If anyone gets to heaven without faith in Christ, then the death of Christ on the cross was pointless. No one gets to heaven apart from Christ. Jesus is the foundation upon which all Scripture rests. He is the foundation of our faith as Christians. If a person rejects Christ, then there is nothing left for them after death but eternal punishment, and separation from God. Jesus called it "outer darkness, where there is weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth.

If universalism is true, then there was no need for Paul to preach or write epistles. There is no need to preach gospel if there is no consequence for sin. If everyone is ultimately saved, then there is no need for holiness, no need to follow God's commandments, no need to live Christlike lives. There is no need to even believe in God if EVERYONE will go to heaven, ultimately. You are believing a dangerous lie.

OK *ack* fine, you caught me.

I was answering someone who was taunting me by trying to pin me down to exactly how long we have to repent.

I'm not exactly sure what universalism is , so I wouldn't go so far as to say I promote it. I have stated that I believe some people are lost as some people are totally absorbed by evil.

Matthew 19 : 23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

25 When his disciples heard it , they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

26 But Jesus beheld them , and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Where, out of curiosity, Does it say that death is the deadline? I thought Jesus said if we endure till the end.

Rev 22: 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Universalism is the belief that God does not send people to hell, and the idea that everyone will be saved. It appeals to the love of God, and reasons that God would not send anyone to hell since all men are God's children, which the Bible does not say. God does not let any of His children go to hell. But not all men are God's children. All men are God's creation, but only the born again believers are his "children."

You may not realize it, but you are dangerously close to this belief system.

Steve, you need to fix your post you are giving the impression that you are quoting me, and you are not. You are quoting Gerioke. I would appreciate it if you would not attribute words to me that I did not say.

1- Where, out of curiosity, Does it say that death is the deadline? I thought Jesus said if we endure till the end.

2- Rev 22: 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

1- Here: Heb. 9:27 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people

2- A wonderful affirmation of free will, if you ask me. :noidea:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
