Tradition teaches everyone that,  or tries to.

Psalm 119 English Standard Version (ESV)
Your Word Is a Lamp to My Feet
Aleph

119 [a] Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the Lord!
2
Blessed are those who keep his testimonies,
who seek him with their whole heart,
3
who also do no wrong,
    but walk in his ways!

I've never heard of anyone who teaches that sin is irresistible or a "force" or cannot be stopped.  The Bible says that God provides a way of escape from it - that's the Bible.

But sin is real.  Even in the life of a Christian.  What is a myth and wrong teaching is that once saved - a Christian never sins again.

For example, what do you and any others here call the wrong things you do from time to time - loss of temper, swearing under one's breath, lying, coveting in the heart.....

In my life, I call it sin.  I repent of it.  I go to God with it.  Christ forgives me of it.  I flee from it.

why cant we stop, are we not in control of our own minds and bodies, does not Jesus say to stop sinning.  and folly isn't sin, folly is being mistaken and doing the wrong thing as  in job

We can stop sometimes and sometimes we do not.  We are a saved, eternal being living in a body of non-eternal flesh.  There is a war between the flesh and spirit.

Yes, we are in control of our minds and bodies.  The devil cannot make us sin.  A demon cannot make us sin.

And sometimes we make the wrong choice.  In the heat of the moment, people can lose their tempers and yell at a child unfairly.  When a person is not praying, reading the Bible, and fellowshipping with other believers live and in person......they can become weak and ill-equipped.  That's when a Christian who wouldn't ordinarily use porn, or be a glutton, or curse or lie to cover up something even mundane and simple.....will do that very thing that they otherwise wouldn't do.

The book of 1 John is written to the church, the bride of Christ, and it tells us that IF we confess our sins to God that God is faithful and just to forgive us.

Again, what do you call the wrong things that you do sometimes?

Everyone struggles with their old sinful ways. As Christians we must make it clear to ourselves that it is not ok to sin. We must strive to be obedient to God. Obedience proves our love for Him.

Guys like Stalin and Hitler were merely full of nonsense according to your philosophy.Seven million plus victims of their “ nonsense” would disagree.A man in this area was just convicted of raping a three year old.Such nonsense! I get the point you are trying to make.Language is important and “ nonsense” is not a synonym for sin and wickedness.Give it up.Please.
