Rapture

Your rapture theory presents no logic. That would mean there would be a second and a third coming. Jesus came here like a lamb the first time. Jesus is coming back like a lion. The SECOND Coming of our Lord Jesus is all that is spoken of in the Bible. Definitely not two second comings, one which would be in secret.

Tari, you have it figured out. It speaks all through out the Bible that when God comes back for the second coming everyone will know about it. This won't be a secret to anyone. It also talks throughout the Bible that the Chruch will have to endure the anti-Christ rath before the second coming. As much as pro-Rapture people want to think they will get out of this tribulation, they are mistaken. People that believe in the Rapture have been misguided by others that have taken a few verses out of the Bible, twisted the context and meaning around and formed several different versions of the Rapture. Predicting the end times of how and when has gone on since Christ was assummed into heaven. The Rapture theory is just the last and greatest version. I will post a longer argument in the near future with support of my argument.

Thanks Pax! I think it might have been you who wrote something about, how Jesus was turned against by his own people the first time around. This is quite similar and people don't even realize how serious this really is.

I wouldn't say that Christians who believe in the Rapture have turned against God, it's just that they are misguided. But I will agree with you that this is a very serious topic and could have huge consequences for many. I would like to commend you Tari, for taking the time and using logic to figure out the truth. It's very easy to get sucked into something as sensational as "The Rature."

Suppose that you could tell me with absolute certainly that Christ would return tomorrow?

Given that I'm already a Christian, then what should I start doing now that I'm not supposed to be doing already?

How would you answer that questiopn if there is a rapture?

How would that answer be different if there is not a rapture?

All these endtime scenarios are making my head spin.

I would read all the verses pertaining to the return of Christ very very well. Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 12:35-59, Luke 17:20-37, Luke 21:1-38

Read these, and study them well!!!

Well, isn't that the standard practice of any Christian, to study the Bible? Don't we all do that already? I'm not sure that answers my q.

1.) There won't be a Rapture.

2.) You should never assume that you are saved. This is notion is just as false as the Rapture. I think you had stated that you were a Catholic. If you knew God was coming back tomorrow, your should go see a Priest and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Get back into a state of grace. This would help you more than anything.
