Tour is also fearless. He joined more than a thousand other scientists in signing the “Scientific Dissent from Darwinism.” More recently, he has become a thorn in the side of the origin of life research community, offering blunt assessments of the current state of origin of life research. "

Dear brother, with all love and due respect to this man, and to you as well, but in truth the flesh profits nothing anyhow....people come to faith in Christ through the foolishness of preaching the gospel, rather than through scientific or intellectual arguments.

Jesus did not get into intellectual (or political for that matter) arguments with anyone about anything.....He just preached the foolishness of the gospel....and gave that same mandate to the church. 

People may have jobs/careers and such when they come to faith in Christ, whether in science, politics, academia, military or any other arena,  and they may continue on to  "whatsoever you do, do all as unto the Lord" after coming to know Him......but since it still costs everything to follow Jesus they might find they will need to lay these things on the altar at some point anyhow.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

 

I'm sure we are all in agreement that this is just as true today as when Jesus first preached it, and it's still foolishness to the perishing.
