The Power Of Satan

Q: Preacher, Jesus is Lord. So, what kind of spiritual authority has Satan?

A: Zero. Neither he ever had.

At the same time,

…the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the Light of the Glorious Gospel of Christ, Who is the Image of GOD, should shine unto them. (2Corinthians 4:4)

His authority is quite comparable to that of the mafia – real & illegal.

In full accord with Genesis 1:26-28, we humans have our irrevocable Spirit Dominion over this Earth, sealed up by the Word of LORD GOD. That kind of Power Adam couldn’t pass on or hand over, or surrender to Satan (as some expositors teach) even praying the evil one on both knees. However, considering 2Corinthians 4:4, we can & do open or close up our mind to/on whomsoever we please, and eventually become the Servants of GOD or the puppets of the devil.

As his puppets silly folks gradually destroy the beautiful World, they live in. The powerless evil spirit actually rules like a king. The Blessed Statement of Jesus in Matthew 28:18 made no difference in this regard – we people (the most important part of GOD's Creation) remain free to serve Him or the evil one.

Judged & cursed, Satan is still the god of this world steadily leading his demons & foolish unbelievers to eternal death.

Let's neither underestimate the enemy nor forget what we confess:

For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, for ever. Amen. (Matthew 6:13)
 

Isaiah 14:12-15 .................. Satan's fallen & condemned.

Ezekiel 28:3-5 .................... The wise foe.

Daniel 8:24-25 ................... ditto

Matthew 4:4,7,10 ............... Our Mighty Weapon -- It Is Written...

Matthew 28:18 ................... Mind the Power of Jesus.

John 8:44 ........................... The lie is Satan's main weapon.

John 12:31; 16:11 .............. Satan's judged.

2Corinthians 11:13-14 ....... The lie of Satan & his servants.

Ephesians 2:2-3 ................. The lie of Satan rules the world.

Ephesians 6:10-18 ............. Our spiritual Weapons.

1Peter 5:8-9 ....................... Don't underestimate the enemy!

1John 3:8 ........................... Jesus vs Satan.

1John 5:18 ......................... We are able to withstand the devil.

Revelation 12:9; 20:7-10 ... The destiny of Satan the liar & his servants.

Revelation 12:12 ................ Satan is doomed and he knows that.

Only as much as God gives him.

In Adam's rebellion and disobedience he forfeited his right to have dominion over this earth and that dominion was given to satan, ...here is what Jesus told us:

Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. John 12:31

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.  John 14:30

Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.  John 16:11

The word prince used by Jesus in the Greek New Testament is archōn, which means:

a ruler, commander, chief, leader

So, Jesus tells us satan is the ruler of this fallen world, ...however, at the Cross Jesus defeated him and now satan is just a usurper, ...Jesus is the rightful owner again and Rev 5 gives us a glimpse into the future Heavenly realm where Jesus, the Lamb slain before the foundation of the World, takes the title deed for the earth from the Hand of His Father.

This site is overloaded with quotations. Yet Understanding of what is quoted is totally another business.

To make a long story short, when people turn their backs on GOD, His Holy Angel(s) just take a step back. That moves the border Light/darkness and the dogs of Satan jump in to tear hearts & minds. Not "His spirit" does it. He is Love.

I hope so about English. Have to consult Webster Encyclopedic Dictionary from time to time. Sadly, it has another opinion on that "just a term of English." However, as per Matthew 12:36-37, it's not my business anymore.

As for Ukraine, English No = Ukrainian Ni = Russian Net = Turkish Yok = &c. 

Once upon a time, when I was on board one US ship and folks made fun of my English, I proposed to switch to Ukrainian, for me to have a fun too.
