Why Did Jesus Die For Us? To bring about a testimony to the world that Christ is indeed risen as evidenced in His overcoming life being manifested in those following Him. In short that we would be a light of righteous living in a world swallowed up in sin.

Tit. 2:11-14

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

That power accomplishes His Will to be done in us, if we believe and walk in that belief.

May we not grieve the Holy Spirit any longer.

In His Love,

Suzanne

This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.

Lack of victory equals lack of faith in what has been provided for us by his death and resurrection. Rom. 6 etc

We need to earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints.

The extent to which we are overcoming by consciously yielding to Him and giving Him the due honour for that overcoming (not of ourselves lest we should boast) is the extent to which we are in the faith.

Prove yourselves, whether ye be in the faith.

Imagine the mourning and grief we would witness at churches if they would honestly examine themselve by the true Biblical standard.

But that's the prescription for this sickness afflicting many of those called by His name:

James 4:

4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?

6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Many churches claim to be celebrating on Sunday.

Celebrating what? that they have found a loophole in God's Word by way of misunderstanding that relieves them of the obligation to yield to the power of godliness and so seek to be a testimony to the world of the resurrection of Christ by His righteous life manifested in them?

Php. 1:

29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

The true life in us from Christ comes from our dying to self. Very unpopular message.

Is it just me? Or is it seemingly the most important topics that are scarcely touched? This one just seems so paramount.

To pay the penalty of our sin and so that we could be raised to newness of life.

1Jo 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Because it is foundational. That's why it's so important.

The corrupt modern versions of the Bible, also foundational as well as the flood of evolution teaching attacking the faith of our kids.

The violation of the definition of the words,"saved"and "grace" is very foundational.

Allowing divorce for adultery or whatever, also foundational.

Satan knows where to place his energy to attack, at the foundation.

Unfortunately he has managed to recruit allies from the ranks of them professing to be Christians. Yes, Satan is transformed as an angel of light but he can get the former enlightened by Christ to receive another spirit (2 Cor. 11) and so be transformed into those with a counterfeit light, which is in reality darkness. Matt. 6

The misuse of Eph. 2:8,9 which is quoted as a mantra by many, but is taken out of context and used to make what we do not important, is one of Satan's masterpieces of deception.

What we do will determine where we go. as seen in Matt. 25 when the sheep and goats are sent to their places for what they did and didn't do.

Does faith save? Not if there are NO WORKS accompanying it.

Hebrews 11:By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Why is this so hard to receive? Works are a necessary component to belief, just as if I do not take the medicine that I KNOW will heal me, I CANNOT BE HEALED, merely because I KNOW that it is the CURE, I must ALSO take it!

In His Love,

Suzanne

Suzanne, it isn't hard to receive.

Faith saves. PERIOD. But, a faith that saves is a faith that works.

If someone has no works, then you can question whether their faith is saving faith. But, works will never save. They only prove the faith of a saved believer.

Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

How clearer can that be? Works do not justify. Faith of Christ justifies. The works only follow the saved believer thereby giving evidence to the presense of saving faith.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
