The Lord has shown me clearly that no matter how poor my words are, He can use them in witnessing. Just as I cant bring someone to Christ, only He can, neither can I lose someone to Christ if it is within His will that they are to come to Him now. Salvation isnt something I can bring to someone. He has shown me that no matter what, He is in control, and He is the one who brings them to Him. We shouldnt worry over our words when we witness but rather depend on the Lord to give us the words to speak. All praise and glory to the Lord always.

Amen, Jade.

I read Paul's words...

1 Corinthians 2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Psalm 12

Chapter 12

1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8

The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted

GLORY BE TO GOD!!! :emot-pray:

PSALM 14

1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Rom 3:10 Psa 53:1

2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Rom 3:11 Psa 53:2

3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Rom 3:12 Psa 53:3

4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Glory be to GOD!!!! :emot-pray::cool::cool:

This is a subject that takes a few twists.

If someone does not believe the bible, pray for them, but only the bible is useful for reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. If they don't eventually come to believe the bible, they are and will be lost.

Should anyone try to use some other method of reasoning to atttempt to bring a unbeliever into believer status? They can try, it doesn't work. You and I must believe on him, AS THE SCRIPTURE has said.

I recommend continuing to speak with authority concerning the bible, and not to try to use worldly wisdom, that's just a waste of time for you and for the hearer.

Traveller,

Belief in the Bible is not the path to salvation, even the Bible says so! So, I'm not sure where you get that notion. And I agree, to bring someone to an understanding and possible acceptance of Christian faith, one must base their arguments from the Bible, but there are various ways of doing this, some of which don't include quoting Scripture to people who don't believe in the divine inspiration of Scripture.

The heart of this passge is "2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified." Unfortunately, what I read in many posts since Agnostic's post is a lot of EXTRA material which attempts to explain the black and white "truth" of how it all works. I take this passage to heart and is all I focus on with most non-Believers (should I even talk to them about my faith). You guys go ahead and "witness" how ever you like, I don't care to change you. It's just that Agnostic isn't responding to any of your Biblical arguments and some of you don't care how you are coming across to her/him. Your justification is that since the Bible is the Truth then all you need to do is quote large passages of it AT someone and walk away having "done your job". I completely and utterly disagree. But like a previous poster, I am not worried at all about possible destiny-damage as a result of "witnessing style" I am simpy displeased with the callousness which some of you display in the manner in which you engage people like Agnostic.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
