I have found exercise to be the best thing for sleep though. Even just a bit of walking. Good luck! just don't exercise right before bed time! that has the opposite effect (for me anyway)

That's a big part of what I love about living out here, Alexalex. I look around and there's plenty of fences to mend, animals to look after, chores to do, and dinners to cook. There's always something productive to do! I'll look into melatonin when I have the chance, thanks for the suggestion! Maybe you have too much going on, mind too busy. Have you tried breathing exercises, like meditation? Without going in depth, long slow breathing for a few minutes can really help. And its important to breathe IN through the nose. Like I said, good luck to you!

Just a comment even though not addressed to me personally. Melatonin is okay, and using it in conjunction with some other sleep aids are an additional help. It's the 'combo-effect' as I call it. About six milligrams are alright for a few hours, and then it wakey up time. Anything helps though. Older folks have problems often with sleep continuity.
