Romans 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

This imputed righteousness spoken of by David is found in Psalm 32:2. Imputation is righteousness counted or reckoned unto us through faith.

Abraham believed God in Genesis 15:6 and it was counted unto him for righteousness (Romans 4:3).

Genesis 17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

17:11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.

Circumcision was a token, a visible representation of faith.

Romans 4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Abraham is the father of all the uncircumcised that believe God.

4:12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

Abraham is also the father of the circumcised.

John 8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

The Jews claimed Abraham as their father solely on the basis of being children of descent and missed that they could only claim Abraham as their father by faith.

Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

Abraham was promised by covenant to be a father of many nations in Genesis 17:4 and heir of the world (Romans 4:13) along with his seed (Genesis 17:7). God promised Abraham and his seed the land (Genesis 17:8). This promise was not through the law, but the promise was through the righteousness of faith (Romans 4:13). It is by grace through faith that the promise is made sure to all the seed of Abraham (Romans 4:16). Abraham believed God when told he would be made a father of many nations (Romans 4:17) and believed that his seed would be in number as the stars in heaven (Genesis 15:5 Romans 4:18).

Abraham was a father of many nations. From Abraham would come nations and kings (Genesis 17:6).

Abraham would become a mighty nation and all the nations would be blessed in him (Genesis 18:18). His seed would become as the stars in heaven and in his seed all the nations would be blessed (Genesis 26:4). In the Davidic kingdom on earth Israel will one day be a blessing to the Gentiles (Jeremiah 23:5. The Lord Jesus Christ will sit on the throne of David and the law will go out of Zion and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:2-3). Israel will teach the Gentile nations of God and the Gentiles will come to God through Israel (Isaiah 60:3).

From Abraham would come the seed, the Lord Jesus Christ to redeem both Jew and Gentile by his blood (Genesis 3:15 Galatians 3:16). In Christ all the nations are blessed. Abraham is father to us all who walk after the faith of Abraham (Galatians 3:7).

Israel was given the promise to inherit the earth (Psalm 37:22) not the church, the body of Christ. We are blessed and made heirs through the promise given to Abraham (Galatians 3:29) but we are made joint heirs with Christ in heavenly places (Romans 8:17 Ephesians 3:6 Ephesians 1:3).

4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:

4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Abraham was fully persuaded that God could give him a child and multiply his seed. Faith is believing God and being fully persuaded that what God says is true; God is able and will perform his Word.

4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Faith is counted for righteousness.

4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

The righteousness of God will be imputed to us as well if we believe God and believe that Jesus our Lord was delivered for our offences, he died for our sins and rose for our justification. Jesus who knew no sin was made to be our sin so we could be given his righteousness.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

You posted Lots of good scriptures.

"Imputed"..

This is an interesting "Bible" word.

Lots of ways to define it.

When i run across a word like this, a very important doctrinal word, a fulcrum word, regarding understanding how the Blood Atonement is eternally applied to a believer in Yeshua, i try to understand it by applying it to daily activities so that i can really wrap my understanding all around it..

So, here is what i do with this word....

I think of these type examples.

If my SUV need  gas, i take a hose and "impute" the gas into my tank.

If a person needs a flu shot, then a nurse  takes a needle and imputes the Flu anti-serum into their body.

When you want to deposit money into your bank account, you go to the Drive Thru, or you go to the Teller inside, and she takes your money and imputes it into your account.

When you are thirsty you want some good cold water, so you put it in a glass and you swallow it, which imputes it into your tummy.

when you want to hear some worship music, you turn on the Stereo and your ears impute the worshipful songs into your brain and spirit.

When you by faith you Trust in Christ to be your Savior, God takes His  VERY Own Righteousness and imputes it into you, and onto you, and it BECOMES the NEW YOU as the imputed Righteousness of God.

You literally and eternally become "the Righteousness of God, in Christ".

This is the end result of "imputed Righteousness".

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
