Dis all of you take some sort of DNA test to determine this or is this passed down through the generations?

There can be some good but also some bad in getting your DNA done.

Did the two companies that did your DNA both come back with the same results ?

I wonder how accurate they are.

Yes as far as medical propensities is concerned however 23 and me went into more detail, plus sent additional information as  it was developed,  within their data base. While Heritage seems more interested in keeping me interested upon a longer term "hobby" of chasing down relatives within my family "bush". They have developed a pretty easy to use system where one can set up multiple strings of relatives and ancestries of different relatives. Plus  by permission of other participants each can share information,  viewing each others  gathered info. Perhaps leading to corrections of a bad  or faulted strings of information gathered. And often onto  better detailed sharing of old newspaper clippings, Lodge records, personal pictures, old telephone books, census records, death certificates, birth certificates, marriage certificates. If it is  a record of people Heritage seems to have it and have enabled individuals to share and even contact one another through their service.

Though all the  ancestry lineage is interesting, I don't find I have the long term interest needed to keep pursuing it. Not even as a hobby. I just can hardly  keep up in learning of what I really am interested in of the reveal of Jesus, the Bible.

Grandmothers on both sides of the family were our genealogy specialists. It was interesting to hear them speak of the family tree, but I got lost on the aspect of cousins once of twice removed - whatever that means.
