Sounds like those men were just mean-spirited. Some people get a kick out of seeing other people fall/get injured for some strange reason. Yes, some people laugh at inappropriate times. I appreciate the gesture because it is an act of kindness. i agree, giving up one's seat is indeed a gesture of kindness but there is difference between obligation vs choice. not giving up one's seat to a non pregnant, non elderly, abled bodied woman is not morally wrong. the men in the photo should not be trashed for it. I am not judging or "trashing" anyone in this photo. oh no, i didn't mean you trashed the men in the photo i simply meant the men in the photo should not be bashed for not giving up the seat as they did nothing wrong. i mean the guy who posted this photo originally seemed to suggest they are bunch of male chauvinists, and i think that is wrong. But as to curtesy always defer to those that are elderly among us give them a seat, whether male or female. I always do that. Oh wait that is me. Whoopie. A privilege of age I get a seat I get a seat, wow. Oh I don't get a seat? Oh well, stand and be watchful, never know what is getting on the bus next. Fact, I'd rather hitch hike than ride a bus. Haven't been on a bus since 1982 at San Francisco at late night out of the airport into down town scary ride. The only white man and in a suit with a briefcase, ha. Just me the night shift workers and the druggy's. Whoopie. So what do i think of the lady standing? She is probably better off being at the ready than sitting. Might be standing by personal choice ready to fight or take flight.
