Standing in the gap on Planned Parenthood

A few months ago I was very active online with chatting and forums.  I got a new job.  This has been keeping me away from my keyboard.  I am not complaining.  It is only janitorial, but the time alone at night gives me time to think and pray about where God is leading me vocationally.  I am finally employed with a reliable company, earning a decent wage, getting fulltime hours, and will be eligible for 50% benefits in December.  For the area I live in, that is a dream come true.  So, what's the problem?

One of the sites that I have been assigned to clean is a Planned Parenthood clinic.  It is an old building and creaks horribly.  It's sounds pretty eerie.  But, even if it were a brand spanking new building, I would still feel the presence of spiritual battle in the place.  I have been bringing my boombox to fill the place with praise music and I pray over the babies, the patients, and the staff every night.  I have encountered some demonic opposition to these efforts to bring the Spirit of God into the place.  I have been able to pray in Jesus Name for the territorial demon in the place to leave me alone.  However, I feel that the battle is much larger than what I can do by myself.  I want to *do* something.... like get out there and volunteer some place or help educate people on so-called contraception and the risks that the "women's health" industry puts women in, and of course do something toward making alternatives to abortion more readily available and more acceptable to mothers in crisis.  I am tired of crying every week the night after "special procedure day" and cleaning up their moral mess and not doing anything to prevent it.

One problem is that my schedule is really wacky.  I work from 7:30 PM until 4:30 AM, go home and sleep until 2:00 PM.  I don't want to give up this job.  The obvious benefits I described above (pay, benefits, hours) definitely keep me there.  But, I also understand that I am in a unique position to pray for the people in this clinic.  The fact that I am getting demonic opposition tells me that I am doing some good there.  But, I want to do more than that.  I need some help on how to hook up with other people to help battle the abortion monster.  Prayers for protection, strength, and boldness in Christ are also much needed.  I need to know that I am not praying alone for this clinic.  I need my brothers and sisters in Christ to stand with me against this thing in prayer.  

I would appreciate any insights, information, and prayers any of you can offer.  Thanks.

Wow, what an awesome job the Lord has given you!  Perhaps you were called to the Kingdom for such a time as this.  Your prayers and the breaking of strongholds that you do avail much, the weapons of your warfare are not carnal but are mighty through God.

If you have any energy left after such a job perhaps you could become involved in your local crisis pregnancy center.

Thank you guys for the prayer support and the approval.  I was afraid to post this at all because anytime you say "abortion" people generally start fighting.  Thanks so much!!!

Whatsitmean, I don't think we should be cursing the Planned Parenthood staff.  They are just as deceived as their patients.  I pray that they receive revelation from God to show them that what they are doing hurts people and hurts God.  If God sees fit to send them judgements, then so be it.  I don't think it is our place to curse people.  Jesus did say to pray for our enemies and show kindness to all our neighbors.  

Thanks again for the prayers.  I am learning in concrete terms just how effective prayer can be.  So, I reeeeaaaalllly appreciate the prayer backup!
