As I type this today's count of Covid-19 here in the US is 163,479 cases and 3,146 deaths. I see you are from the UK. Which as of today has 22,141 cases and 1,408 deaths! Yes the twelve Apostles did drink from the same cup. But Covid-19 was not a pandemic back then. And I have news for you. YOUR NOT JESUS! YOU CAN GET THIS AND YOU CAN PASS IT ON TO EVERYONE YOU COME IN CONTACT WITH! AND IF YOU CAN NOT UNDERSTAND THAT, THEN I REALLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! But even more than that. You are coming here and posting this stuff and trying to get the rest of us to join your foolishness! But anyone else who is foolish enough to believe what you are saying is in danger. I am just telling it like it is. No sugar codding it! This is the second post you have made on basically the same thing and this foolishness needs to stop. My 21 year old son has achieved the position of deacon in his church because he is worthy. He is in charge of the middle school. He says the church has gone online and has exploded. So many people either can’t or won’t gather physically at church, but wanted local contact and the word. It’s become another way that God can reach the people. Of course churches shall never stop congregating. Local online helps those who can’t or won’t help themselves. Change happens when people hear the Word. God told the Gideon That the men with him were still to many and he whittled the men down to three hundred from many thousands lest Israel boost themselves against him claiming it was by there own strength they gain the victory against the large host of midianites. Three hundred men would seem suicidal to any top United States general or military commander in any armed unit.(But not with God) God used a small shepherd boy called David to defeat champion warrior. A man of war from his youth Goliath. The situation was so unusual that even David'S older brothers who were in Saul army thought he was up to mischief. Goliath thought the Israelite weren't serious. yet with one smooth stone and the anointing of the Holy spirit Goliath was brought down to his death. David then used Goliath own sword to removed his head. When the philistine army, saw their champion head cut off and lifted up by David they fled in a panic realising their turn was next. To the carnal man this was foolish and silly it was the wisdom of God The two harlot's argued over whose was the living baby. Solomon called for a sword to divide the baby in two. In the courts today there would have been a Hugh out cry by women rights groups, social services, the supreme court, child protection specialist but look at the wisdom of God. God sorted it without any of the above. So you see God's ways are not our ways and the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom men. Lock down No, Faith, trust, obedience and a call to repentance before Christ YES. But as the heaven is higher than the earth so is God's ways not our ways. We don't all have to give over to unsaved carnal solutions. God has a better way but men prefer darkness to light because their deed are evil. If God has called you to ignore precautions at this time that we are being order to follow by our leaders. Then that is on you. You can do as you see fit to do all you want. But you can not and should not be putting others in danger. By telling the rest of us to do the same. Because God has not called me to ignore these precautions. I see I can not reach you with talk of sense. So all that I ask is that if you get Covid-19, that you take precautions not to spread it to others. Especially the elderly and others with medical issues. And stop trying to get others here to throw caution to the wind and join you in this. Cause to put it boldly. However, that does not justify the poster's claim that God doesn't just earthly rulers such as judges and government for his work. and that we should all go to church during this time breaking the mandates for health reasons. Of course God does. God moves directly and he moves via his people - even secular people as seen many times in the Bible. Revelation 2:24-25 Do we not suppose that there are those in today's churches---where men go to worship the Living God---that we will not find the "the rest of you"? Which man will decide whether those who go to "those places" are not there for sincere reasons? All Jesus asks is that, "Only hold on to what you have until I come."
