I am aware of Acts 2:38 where peter said to repent and be baptized. So, if a man feels he should do this. Do it, it is the word. Romans 10 King James Version (KJV) 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. First, he died for our sins, ransoming us from Satan. Second, he taught us how to live our lives. He is God born of Mary. He also calls Himself the " I AM:"in John 8 which is what God called Himself in Exodus 3, before He called Himself YHWH or Jehovah. This is translated LORD in most translations because His Name is too holy to say aloud. Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with God. Joh 1:3 All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. Joh 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men; Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth. Colosians 1 and Philipians 2 also speak of Jesus being our Creator.
