I've noticed that some preachers are coming out of the secret rapture teaching. There is a pretty big name preacher here in the Evansville area who is now preaching against it.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I've been noticing that, too. I think God is pouring out His Holy Spirit on many people and he is giving them dreams and visions and revelations (not new ones) of what the Bible teaches on this subject, and many people are changing their theology.

Good post.

I used to believe in a pre-trib. rapture too, until I read the Bible for myself and studied scripture.  Now  I can't imagine why I ever thought any different.

I agree this is a message that needs to get out and should be preached in all our churches.  Why isn't it?  I believe we are neck deep in so much apostasy and false teaching.

In Christ,

CarolineS

I agree with your assessment of the situation here. I don't know that I ever believed in Pre-Trib, but I wasn't really against it until recently when the Lord showed me it was a false teaching and why it is false. It really opened my eyes that I can no longer keep silent in this matter, but I must speak out. If we all stopped being afraid of what people might think about us and we all began to speak out about this, maybe people would begin to listen and we could at least rattle some cages and make some people think.

There are only two resurrections yet to happen mentioned in the bible. The first resurrection is mentioned here.

Re 20:5  But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection.

Re 20:6  Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The second is refereed to as

Joh 5:29  And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
which is also described in the end of chapter 20 thru 21 of Rev.

The first resurrection is at the beginning of the millennium/end of the tribulation. No mention of a pre-first resurrection.

I agree! The first resurrection is as you stated and the second one takes place post-millennium.

The rapture includes a resurrection.

1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
And then the living saints will be taken up.

1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The rapture occurs at the first resurrection at the end of the tribulation.

Get ready church the time is at hand.

:noidea: Well, im a Heretic according to your opening post, but im a proud one

In The Words Of Jesus Christ:

Matthew 24

40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

42"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

Mark 13

32"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33Be on guard! Be alert[f]! You do not know when that time will come.

Jesus said to "watch" and he didn't say to only watch in the End of all days, like a Post trib :35: He said to watch even then. :)

Trinity,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this subject. Yes, none of us knows the day nor the hour of Christ's return, but the scriptures do say we will know when it is near by the signs, which is why the Bible gives us the signs. The scriptures also say that it should not overtake us like a thief because we are of the day. And, Matthew 24 makes it quite clear that Christ will not come back until the antichrist has been revealed, and other scriptures support this. The scriptures that talk about one being taken and another left is talking about when Christ comes at the end of the tribulation, not before. He will take those who are waiting for his appearing and are ready.
