Yeah. Great stuff. George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and Roy Orbison. Roy still had a good voice. The only sad thing here was that Petty and Dylan were smokers. That was too tempting for Harrison and he picked the habit once again. It led to part of why his remission from throat cancer returned. He passed away in 2001. Orbison passed unexpectedly during the recording of their second album and they covered for him. Tom died from a tragic Fentanyl overdose years later after they disbanded. They were all such terrible losses.

I always liked “ Don’t Bother Me” and “ Here Comes The Sun”.   I loved the guitar solo in Taxman....did no know until a few years ago that it was Paul that played it.....another one of my favorite guitar breaks was in “ Good Morning, Good Morning”...... played again by Paul

once , when George took “ his” turn to leave the Band, John wanted to put Eric Clapton in the group to replace him...

True. Paul did some blistering leads there. And very good lead on Too Many People for the Ram LP.

Eric did sit in with George on While My Guitar Gently Weeps. He also did background lead on Yer Blues. That's the reason why he wanted Clapton so badly. They'd already jammed together. Eric joined John on the Live Peace In Toronto Album.

Great improvisational leads on not well rehearsed material. Familiar songs were chosen. Yer Blues was also done with Eric again at The Rolling Stones Rock And Roll Circus. Keith Richards played bass. It's on YouTube. Seek and ye shall find.

I heard the entirety of the album on the radio when it was released in 1979. Simply titled, George Harrison. He had found love again after losing his wife Patti Boyd Harrison to Eric Clapton his good friend. Things were pretty difficult between George and Eric for a while, but they did make amends after George met Olivia Arias. A good many of the songs were inspired by their love. I still think this is one of George's best underrated solo releases he's ever done. Not much promo was presented for it. Perhaps that's it.

It's wonderful and upbeat, with plenty of signature slide guitar from George's expertise way of playing. Here Comes the Moon is one of the finest on the LP. It eventually went out of print and I couldn't find it anywhere once my 8-track tape became defective. A lot of them did. They were not without numerous issues besides not being the best fidelity. I found it again on eBay. A brand new plastic wrap CD copy. Bid $5 dollars and no one apparently knew much of the status. Nobody bid against me. That's how I got it.
