The records and story remain unchanged. For examples noones erasing the fact that that Columbus didn't land in the caribbean by wanting the statue down. What they are saying considering what he's done- (Enslaved a local population, committed genocide on different islands, sold women and girls inso sexual slavery and how much it offends people- the descendants of those people are very offended by his statues. It's basically the same as the descendant of a Jewish holocaust survivor seeing a statue of Hitler erected.) he doesn't deserve this honor. Remember alot of these statues were erected at different times under different administrations which weren't as racially senstive as they say they are are now. So . The personal letter Thomas Jefferson wrote to a friend pertaining to the separation of church and state taken out of context and used today; and so many other things... Not to mention ISIS and radical Islam; why do you suppose they have and are destroying so many historic religious sites, tombs of the patriarchs, prophets and people in the Bible? Don't cheer for the victory of someone who is not in Christ. There is no victory there. The only victory is when someone repents and turn to Christ. Pray for discernment and be not led into temptation. 1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
