Since it's GOD who elevates, and places in power, and GOD who abases according to his will, the Elections in the U.S. are nothing more than the tools God uses at HIS pleasure to place whom HE pleases in office. The U.S. has been on a "Spiritual death spiral" for DECADES. We are NOT a "Christian Country", and never were (couldn't be Constitutionally) - even though there were "Biblical Principles" considered by the founding fathers. The visible church hasn't responded to 2 Chr 7:14 in anything more than a superficial manner, and our American Government system has constantly turned AWAY from Biblical values and makes laws contrary to righteousness. We are moving on toward the end of the age, and the Bible promises that things will politically on a world-wide basis continue to get worse, but then there's the "Mature visible church" of Ephesians 4 that's really not even on the radar - yet. One thing I can say, though...I have never in all of my life seen our country so horribly divided and it literally makes me tear up just thinking about it.
