there's gotta be someone that can explain the gap theory in the 70 week prophecy. I'd really appreciate it because I don't know much about it and I wanna see it from another point of view.

I cant...but I can offer some more information on the 2300 prophecy and the SDA Church. Shortly after the great disappointment....Not Ellen White, but Hiram Edsom received a vison from the Lord where he saw Jesus enter into the Holy Place. Immedialtely, his mind was directed to the above quote from Malachi and the question was asked...Is there another sanctuary? He and another Adventist by the name of O.RL. Crozier penned an article after a careful study of what he had seen. It was posted in "THE DAY-STAR EXTRA, Saturday, February 7, 1846. by O. R. L. Crozier entitled "The Sanctuary";

Here is a link to the article.

The Sanctuary by O.R.L Crozier

As you can see, they didnt immediately published their findings. AFter their findings they begin to meet with the other Adventists who were only 9 or so in number to show their findings. This is the foundation of the Seventh-day Adventist church. They begin to study all the doctrines of the bible. They did not officially call themselves SDA until 1860; the General Conference was formed in 1863.

I am student of Bible History from Adam to now!!!!!! I know all the great movements within the SDA church and the ones that are coming....RemnantRob. know what I mean;-)

I don't undrstand where they get 2,300 days in daniel 8. The earliest writing that I can find that has writen 2,300 is the vulgate and it seems that everyone else followed suit.

But the other old texts say 3,300.

'eleph    a thousand  @,  as numeral

shaw-loshe'      three, triad  @, 3, 300, third

may-aw'        hundred  @, as simple number  @,  as part of larger number

There is no 2 in the other texts. So where did they get the 2 and why?

This is a first for me. I've never heard this before. Thanks for the post.

The Vulgate is a Catholic Bible, created by Jerome. Its purpose was to counteract the King James bible. there is a bible war going on that few people realize. The NIV is the DEVIL's Bible. The King James is really the only true Bible. THe NIV removes key texts that relate to Jesus as the Lord and Savior...It well documented in the book by B.G. Wilkerson, "Our Authorized Vindicated".

here is a website for this book.

Remnant.

I attended a church---briefly---that taught this nonsense about the KJV being the only version.

I prayed about it, studied up on it, and come to find out, the KJV is a very poor translation of the original Greek and Hebrew. If you work at all with a Strong's concordance it wont take long to see that.

My conviction is that the KJV is extremely difficult to understand and for that reason the devil would like nothing better than to keep people in a bible they can't understand.

I don't care for the NIV at all, myself, it is a poor translation, but the NKJV is good and the NAS is an almost perfect translation word for word.

Don't listen to every naysayer out there, be careful.

Whoa back up now. First off, using a Strong's to determine the strength of a translation is not wise at all. It's a dictionary. That's like trying to use Webster's to see if Moby Dick is a literary work of art. You simply can't. A dictionary doesn't show you why a word is translated a certain way or anything else.

That being said, the King James is wonderfully translated but it not free from inadequacies and errors. Likewise it is archaic in its language. However, it is dishonest to say it is poorly translated when that simply is not the case.

I'm still trying to find this discrepency of a 3300 day as opposed to the 2300 days. I was reading about masoretic text and how many Christians feel that it has a lot of errors in it. There might be other things in our bible that this text says is incorrect, but I'm gonna have to stick to what I know instead of the enigma of the masoretic. Thanks for your input though ave. btw you didn't get to answer my question.

My next question is about the 70th week. When you say that 3.5 years is to be completed Christ's ministry are you saying that Christ is coming back and going to minister to us? (This is an actual question I'm not trying to be/sound stupid) Thanks for the response in advance

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
