Hi all.

I just want to say that I've been going through some really tough times....and I practically don't feel anything at all, now.

I heard someone say that if you don't mean what you say, God doesn't heear you.

;)

I don't have feelings when I pray.

There's not even feelings of repentance.....I've prayed so many times..

The question is:

Does God hear me, even if I can't feel repentance??????

Cause I sure don't at the moment.

:P

Greetings Yomo,

First:

Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

All of us go through times when it seems God doesn't hear us. We may not sense the presence of the Holy Spirit as we pray. But we know that we have one in heaven who ever lives to intercede on our behalf and His Name is Jesus.

Are you involved in some or many sins that you can't or won't lay aside? If so, then confessing them won't do much good TILL YOU REPENT of them.

You may want to read Psalms 51:1-13; Psalms 130:1-5 and Psalms 86:1-7. Please study them carefully.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Dad Ernie is right We all have that "dry season" in our life. I have been there plenty of times

I requote that scripture b/c i think it needs to be said.

There are times when we can earnestly pray , repent of sins in our life and still not feel our prayers have even gotten past our lips. The HolySpirit hears our deepest desires, the deepest needs and at those time when we "feel" nothing or just cant pray the Holy Spirit interceeds for us.

Dont base things on feelings sweetie. Feelings come and go and thats what the enemy uses to attack us. Well one of the things anyway. I dont proclaim to be scriptural knowledgable, most of my advise comes from my spiritual walk.

Does God hear you? Are your prayers sincere, are you repeating the same things your are repenting of , knowly and willingly. If not

try this. When you pray dont only ask for repentance of the things you are aware of but also for things that you may have done and not yet aware of.. Or Ask God to reveal to you those things that may be blocking your prayers. Or causing you to stumble.

Im praying for you Sister

Hey yomo Here is the scripture that i was basing my last post to you on.. The part about the Holy Spirit inteceeding for us when we feel or think we cant pray..

Romans 8:26 -

"Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings that can not be uttered."

Hopes this helps

Trusting In Him

yomo, I struggled with this for a very long time. I had one of those radical conversions where I "felt" the Lord every waking moment. It was so awesome. Then, the day came where I didn't feel that anymore.

That's where faith comes in.

2Co 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Not feeling the presence of the Lord doesn't mean that He is not there. He has promised to never leave you, nor forsake you.

Keep on keepin' on!

Hi all.

I just want to say that I've been going through some really tough times....and I practically don't feel anything at all, now.

I heard someone say that if you don't mean what you say, God doesn't heear you.

:noidea:

I don't have feelings when I pray.

There's not even feelings of repentance.....I've prayed so many times..

The question is:

Does God hear me, even if I can't feel repentance??????

i just wanted to encourage you and let you know that believers do face times when it is hard to talk to God, hard to read, hard to focus on Him.  God does not make mistakes.  He knew exactly who you were when He called you and knew every struggle that you would face.  He will see you through.

I have recently faced a serious hardship in my life and for a period of time i found it so hard to pray and feel earnest.  i found it hard to read and to write.  everything was hard.  i felt so far from God and could relate to David's words, 'how long, o LORD, will you hide Your face from me'.  There is nothing worse to me than to feel far from Him.  the blessing is that He knows and sees us at all times.  hardship is for a season and also for a reason.

in my life personally i believe that the Lord, at those difficult times wants me to come to a point where i break and rely solely upon Him.  He wants to edify and fine tune my walk.  it is human nature in hardship to retreat and back away.  Most likely God has never backed away from me, but through wrong focus, anger, and doubt, i have often times retreated from Him.

Maybe take some personal inventory.  Often times we, as believers are quilty of not leaving everything at His feet.  we hold on to anger and frustration.  we want to fix and understand things for ourselves.  basically we want to drive.

whatever the case, know that God is faithful, even when we are not.  He called you for a reason and will not rescend that call.  He will finish the work He has begun.

Cause I sure don't at the moment.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
