I see you have it pretty well figured out, but this is what stood out to me

As we walked by the first building protruding from the corner was a snake.

I saw this as the snake ( HaSatan) was helpless, encased in the "corner" stone of the building ( Genesis 3:15 and the stone that the builders rejected is now the cornerstone)

Lu 20:17

And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?

Is he your head? Or have you decided to do it on your own? Do you think modern day advances make you capable of this ( camera) so that you can show him how far mankind has come and are more knowledgable now so can show the serpent, prove to him? And as far as Yeshua holding the rake, that also is a trick of the Satan because you don't need Yeshua to hold him down for you so You can take care of him that is the deception, just like in the garden, but instead you should have told him that the cornerstone has finnished it all, there is nothing you have to do.

Remember even Michael did not contend with the Satan but rebuked him.

Could the camera mean that you wanted proof that you havn'et sinned about something he is accusing you of? Or is the sin camera related? Internet, porno, TV, magazines, etc, you don't have to answer.

Part of my inturpretations was wrong.  i was sharing the dream with my wife and we were talking about what it ment.  she asked the question, why would satan (the old man) have directed you to seek Gods help in the end.  The answer is that it was a twisted message from satan.  His message was why didn't you ask your friend (God) to bring over a rake, ie. pin the snake down so that I could cut its head off.  The problem is that satans answer kept me in control, I had the cutters.  It was still me defeating the snake (sin) with alittle help from God.  The only thing God (the friend) told me was stay away, don't listen to him, and talk to me first.

Sound advice, indeed!!! We all need to heed that advice daily!! Satan speaks to us in such subtle ways that a lot of times we don't even recognize that it is his voice speaking to us. I think the area he works on all of us the most is to try to get us to be afraid and to try to convince us that we don't have the resources to fight him, but we do, praise God!!!

Ok, in a way it seems to me the dream is from satan, but it could be a warning from God. Either way.. it has to do with some sort of sin that is, or has, or will escalate. See the snake is sin as you said, you obviously walked past it, but the 'presence' in the second building taunted you, and made you go back after the snake. If you are saying the presence is satan, then he has tempted you,and you have responded. I agree that the camera is you going it alone, you want to prove yourself. (maybe this is about proving youself in something, not sure) And if your friend was God, you didn't listen to Him and obey and seek Him for help. You wanted to do it yourself. In the end no matter what the size of the wound, or whether it was self inflicted or from the snake, you got hurt out of it. If you had stopped and rebuked satan.. and stayed with your friend (God), there wouldn't have been any hurt.

If you feel this is God talking to you, yet you woke feeling convicted, what do you feel He was saying to you?

I like, everyone else, struggle with sin. I think this dream applies to all human beings. That is why I am sharing it. Does it apply to me personally, yes. Do I have sins that are personal, yes. Is God telling me how to handle them. yes

But I am still very curious as to why you think the dream could be a message from satan. What about it raises that concern. I think this is important.

I like, everyone else,  struggle with sin.  I think this dream applies to all human beings.  That is why I am sharing it.  Does it apply to me personally, yes.  Do I have sins that are personal, yes.  Is God telling me how to handle them. yes

But I am still very curious as to why you think the dream could be a message from satan.  What about it raises that concern.  I think this is important.

The dream is obviously not from Satan, because if it were, you would not be warned against him, you would not try to kill him, etc. If it were from Satan, it would most likely be portrayed as something beautiful to the eye and desirable and enticing and you would feel good about it, because he would want you to feel good about it.

God is the one who warns us about Satan and his schemes and the fact that you went after Satan in your dream, even if it were in your own strength, it still shows that you saw him for who he was and you wanted to fight him.

I think this is a dream about spiritual warfare, which we all face every day, and it does apply to all of us, because we often do take things in our own hands and think we can handle them and the Lord is standing there saying to trust him and talk with him first, but we go ahead anyway and then we usually suffer the consequences and then he gently says, "ok, now I got your attention," and then he can show us the correct way to respond.

God is warning that the spiritual warfare is going to get more fierce and we need to trust in HIS strength and HIS wisdom and we need to listen to him and follow him and obey him if we expect to win the battle.

I like that, I totally missed that conection, but yes the snake was in the corner stone of the building. I hadn't thought about the buildings and what they represented. Thanks
