I admitted my wrong doing and apologized for it. Similar comments have been made on this board, didn't see anyone jumping down their throats. I apologized. If it's not accepted there's nothing I can do about that.

Let it go.

You have a nice day.

SJ, thanks for taking the time for the responses.

I won't bore the thread with more quotes and answers (not that yours are boring or not received in my heart with gladness, it's more like....well...my fingers get tired sometimes :24: ), so I guess I'll just sum up basically what I'm saying and save everyone from reading, yet again, my little opinions of everything all the time.

Yes, we have to stand ready to meet force with force. A force that will leave no doubt as to who will win. What ever that entails, we have to be ready to do it. I like Bush because he actually had the coconuts to face this threat head on. A lot of people just don't want to face the fact that we have to do something about the mess. By that, I mean the whole mess, not purely the ones that actually hit us on 9/11. If anyone fails to see that there are other threats and acts of terrorism besides 9/11, then I feel sorry for them....sorta.

The threat is real, we just didn't have the guts to do anything about it before Bush came along. Certainly, the President before him didn't do much about it, that much is clear.

Hopefully, the next President that we get tossed into our laps in a few years will continue to face the threat in much the same way.

I don't care what the neighbors say, we have to continue to hunt them, flush them out, and stop them before they have a chance to nail us again. If any terrorist doesn't like the idea, they can stop what they are doing and find a real job to support their families, like we're all supposed to do. I didn't mandate that they get stuck in the sand somewhere and live their lives, so I don't want them killing me because they can't make ends meet. That's what it's about anyway. They just kind of mix in their stupid little religion to add flavor to the cause.

If they truly believed that we were the Great Satan, then they would totally shut us off from their oil, right? :24: After all, who could actually make deals with a country as corrupt as ours, right?

Right.

They trump up this idiocy that says we are destroying their culture with our brand of commercialism. They say that we are corrupting their pure way of life with ours. Well, if it was all that bad, they would shut us off from their oil. They wouldn't want our blood money, would they? Surely a society as pure as theirs couldn't stand to be associated with us, right?

I'm calling their bluff, and so is Bush. It's not about their god or the stupid little book they read from, it's about how they think they are being dealt a bad hand at the market, pure and simple. Fine, shut us off and deal with someone else, I say. We will survive through invention, as the needs arise. But no, they drive jets into our buildings. They blow up our barracks. They cut the heads off of our contractors and reporters, and they play the poor, oppressed people card for the world to embrace.

Ok, if it's a fight they want, well, they got one. How the world falls for their BS is beyond me. How anyone (and I don't mean you, by any stretch of the words) can see what they do and turn around and place the blame at our feet, I'll never know.

Fine, they want war, they got war.

Personally, I wish that they would figure out how to settle all of this without war, but there comes a time when we have to face reality, which I think we are doing a pretty good job of right now. It's just sad that we don't have the guts to stick it out for the long haul, as a nation. Many of our own people are weak, and don't want to face this reality, but terrorism isn't going to be beat in just a few short years. It just ain't gonna happen. Not only do we have to beat them in war, but we have to find a way to erase generations of teachings that espouse this stuff.

So, yes, we have to beat them at their own game (war, attacks, murders, etc..) at first, but hopefully, this will open a door to changing their thought process and leave them understanding that blowing up kids in the market is not the way to make a point.

Yes, we will have many more years of bloodshed, it's a reality we have to be strong enough to endure. If we are not willing to finish it, then we might as well turn tail now, go home, and wait for the certain death that will come to us in time.

With the will of a people that understand why we must fight on behind us, we can be assured of victory in less time than we think. If we continue in self-national doubt, and continue to remain in a self-imposed denial of the truth, then this will drag on until we finally reach a slow, national suicide.

Anyway, the big picture is easy to see. We have to win. However, it's always the details that seem to trip us up. You bring up great points as far as what to do with prisoners. Do we let them go, or do we hold them indeffinetly? I wish I had the answer. It would make this go so much quicker, but I don't. Personally, I vote for keeping them until we are assured of their unwillingness to join the fight again. I'm not sure how to be assured of that, but there is no easy answer. The only real solution is to make sure we don't take any prisoners in the first place, but that puts us into a "kill 'em all" mentality, which I don't think is right, either.

So, for now, I remain a simple soldier, and not a politician. I'll go if they ask me, and live life in peace (hopefully) in the down time- enjoying what God has seen fit to give to my charge.

As for your goal of becoming a soldier, I commend you, but I want you to be sure that you are 100% convinced of the cause. If not, you will never forgive yourself. Try not to let emotion get in the way of your decision. You could quite possibly be involved with some stuff that will remain with you for the rest of your life.

It's a decision that you have to be sure of.

Either way, may the Lord bless you and show you where He needs you most! :noidea:

Well, as long as your little corner of the world is safe, I reckon that's all that matters.

In the mean time, others are not so fortunate. All we are doing is trying to try, that's all.

Hopefully, Nova Scotia will never have to go through what New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania did, but if so, we'll be there to help.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
