Conformity is the latest enemy of the church...

...today, if you accept the latest messages of the contemporary churches, if they are churches at all.

Now folks, This is just my opinion after much experience and observation over the years, and I'm not looking for any arguments or fights over doctrine, just kindly opinions and discussion PLEASE. 

Conformity to me is an enemy to our society also, as it seems to be pervasive in most walks of life. Never seen it like this before. I think the NET has helped create this.

Teenagers and younger commit suicide because they are attacked and don't feel like the fit in or refuse to fit in.

And there seems to be this idea that we all have to agree with each other to be accepted in any community we choose to be part of.

Individual, or free thinking also seems to be becoming an enemy in our carnal society, and it seems to be invading the church, or what we call the church.

To me, it's something to keep an eye on as some of these new ideas of liberal "WOKE-ISM" and the "EMERGENT CHURCH" become progressive and challenging new forces, wanting to continue watering down the honest truth of our faith with continuing false new idea's and false doctrines that are even entering todays churches and church groups and forums, and that these people pressure others to accept by attacks and challenging idea's of Gods, with those who don't CONFORM to what they are about, and try to get them to question what they believe, and conform to what they believe .

So much of false teaching already to confuse people, and now we have more fresh ungodly ideas of man's spin on a new kind of faith and the need to follow them as your told to, like many of the cults of the past where you had to conform, and many ended up with their leaders, leading them to suicide in mass numbers, to conform like at Jonestown where over 900 people killed themselves and their children.

People are social, and joiners and want to fit in, and if this idea of conformity gets a deeper hold on our society, than it has now, this could be the beginning of mass persecution of the church as true believers refuse to conform in many different parts of society like FORCED VACCINATIONS to have a job, or to travel, could just be the superficial beginning that takes more control slowly over time, like the "BOILED FROG SYNDROM"!!

From what I know about Fabian-ism, it seems to be a strictly political socialist organization founded in 1884, and was popular among prominent British socialists.

I haven't read anything about them and any religeous beliefs or activities.

If you have something more, maybe you could share it with us.

In NZ society and culture the Marxist & Fabian Socialist mindset and worldview have become unavoidable. Former Labour Prime Minister Helen Clark and her protege who is our current Labour Prime Minister Jacinda Adern have made no secret of their Marxist & Fabian Socialist sympathies, something which breeds an anti-Christian mentality here. Ephesians 6:12 applies.

We are social creatures who want to be liked and conforming to the norm of ones society is normal.

Look at the behaviour of people attending your church, there will be a high level of conformity to what they consider to be normal behaviour.

 

Today he internet, Twitter, tic tic etc etc conveys contemporary societies message and allows no escape from either its influence or from bullies, trolls etc.

It makes it much harder to be different whether a teenager, a worker or an academic, to stand out from the crowd.

Those determined to enforce conformity are prepared to use every and any method to obtain compliance.

 

How one does this on the internet or at work is up to you, but in the church one has clear instructions to test every sermon against scripture and to discuss non compliance to scripture with the church elders.

I posted this topic mostly as A WARNING, so that we're all aware of social changes taking place that can adversly affect the church as a whole, and each of us individually.

We have to watch out for these kind of things and protect each other.

The language has in many ways been hijacked. Kids do not want a suffering Messiah, they want a superhero. Darby hijacked the church's general ideas and over 1800 years of conservatism; this along with cessationist thought punctuated a 'new Christology'.

Examine the roots to see wherein lies the fruits. Raputrism and popular nonsense took folk out of their work ethic and promised an easy-peasy escape from any kind of persecution.

It is well said: "all that is necessary for evil to abound is for good men to do nothing".

If you do not stand on the Gospel of Yeshua as taught by the apostles, you will fall for anything.

While conformity and compromise are the death of true Christianity. it is hardly new.
