I believe in one God.

So do I....    Father, Son, Spirit.   The three are one....    and you can't have any single one of them without also having the others.   All three are from the heavenly realm so are gods.

Matt 27:46

46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

At Jesus' baptism you see the Trinity of The One God: The Father speaking from heaven, The Holy Spirit descending upon Jesus, and Jesus in flesh in the water. To say it is only One Personage God performing different purposes would be to deny The Personage of God in three distinct persons clearly being taught us by God at this event...

Why does it say "Let us" make in "our" image, in "our" likeness....?   If it is only one God that created everything and mankind... why doesn't it say "Let me" make in "my" image or "my" likeness?   I never noticed this before (which is strange), and now I am wondering.

Anybody?

He is talking to His council. The Three of the Godhead do not need communication by words since they know each other's thoughts.

Study long and hard and you might find out all about His (their) images. It is a STATUS and not a thing. All God's sons are made in His Image with freedom to choose. They are all free agents, but they do not have His Perfect Character.

So you never pray to the Holy Spirit, I pray to all three the Holy Spirit ,who came from Jesus, then Father God, I believe the Holy Spirit does the will of God through us.

Not sure if I am able to post this as my iPad is playing up, it’s only letting me post intermittently for some reason on the forum, may not be able to answer you if you quote me, ?

I believe God is a Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as my dad was a husband, father, lawyer, and a number of other things.

I pray to God, and I try to do so constantly, as Paul taught us (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

There are three Persons in the Godhead - Father, Son and Holy Spirit: one God, three Persons.

Here they are, all at the same time.

Matt. 3:16,17 (Webster)

16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up immediately out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

---In order of appearance: Jesus (the eternal Son of God made flesh), the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) and the Father.
