Wonderfully edifying, dear brother. A blessing to read! Indeed, the Lord speaks to us today. I am living proof of this truth.

For the longest time I was ignorant of the malady which nearly claimed my life years ago in a mountain wilderness, calling it a "mysterious illness" on account of my ignorance. The Lord saw fit to reveal this illness through the person of a brain injury specialist whom He bid me to meet with a few weeks ago, an astonishing individual whom He gifted in the most unusual of ways. Their father, only a few years my senior, suffered a series of traumatic brain injuries and so they became his dedicated caretaker and support. This is how this individual became a traumatic brain injury specialist.

When she heard a rumor of my testimony, she desired very much to meet with me; my miraculous recovery captured her interest. When the Lord came to me in the shadow of death I could not speak a single word without the most excruciating difficulty, and so the Lord in His mercy loosened my tongue so I might answer Him. The Lord revealed that I had sustained grievous injury to the brain, promising to restore that which was taken from me in a measure exceeding the first, and so began my recovery in the hand of the Lord in accordance with His voice.

I could not maintain a single thought nor concentrate for very long: my mind was a jumbled and chaotic mess, to put it lightly. Ah... but such was not the case when the Spirit of the Lord spoke. His voice was the calm in the raging storm, soothing to my soul and ever so clear; indeed, the voice of the Lord was the only thing I was capable of grabbing hold of during the early days of my recovery by His hand. The Lord taught me how to speak and reason again... He healed my body and mind, bringing me back to the land of the living in fulfillment of His promise in the span of two years.

This is how I learned to listen to His voice, during a time when my brain and mind were ravaged beyond hope. Beyond man's hope, perhaps, but nothing is impossible to Jesus Christ. My brain was gravely injured by the disease, but nothing is too great for our Lord. He accomplished His work in me while I persisted in that wilderness, far removed from civilization and looked after by my adopted mother. This is why I have written so much about this precious soul who joined herself to the will of the living God. She went to be with Him years ago.

As for that mysterious illness? Untreated Lyme disease. Elk, mule deer, and white tail deer were endemic to that wilderness in the mountains and my adopted mother's land was in the heart of that wilderness (infected deer ticks transmit the disease); when I described the symptoms of the illness which ravaged this body and my mind to the brain injury specialist, a light dawned in her eyes. My symptoms matched the effects that untreated Lyme disease can have upon body organs and the brain. Untreated, Lyme disease can sometimes prove to be fatal.

The Lord never ceases to astonish me... His mercies are renewed each day. It's good to have a name for that horrible illness which I suffered from for so very long.

Wonderful testimony, thanks for sharing… Yes, our God is good and He does all things well… Praise God for your healing and God’s provisions through it all… But mostly praise God for the Him that you know…

May you know Him the more, may we all know Him the more… Be so blessed as He continues to grow Himself in you!

The Creator's voice is His voice. It is literal. He can speak with us such as we speak with our fella. It depends only we have intimacy with Him.

Yes, God can and does speak in multiple ways to the objects of His love… Be blessed in being an object of His love…

The post is addressed to you, thanks :)

The voice of God….

Psalm 95:7 (NASB20)
For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice,

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘Today, if you will hear His voice’
These words are putting forth the truth, that today, one can hear His voice if one is willing….
And what is it, that His voice is saying?
It is the voice that directs one towards righteousness….
This speaking, this directing one towards the doing of righteousness, is that which the voice of God is always calling one towards.. For as one who belongs to Him, that one can always hear from Him… For scripture says ‘if you will’, meaning, that the voice is always there speaking, hoping for the heart to have a will to hear, it is always directing the heart somewheres…..
And this somewheres, is always to righteousness, and then to a deeper degree of righteousness, which will be in accordance to the hearts willingness to hear... For listening to the voice of God in the heart isn’t as difficult as the mind makes it out to be… For the voice of God inwardly is always the voice towards righteousness, it is always the voice of encouragement towards the good, proper and right… For that voice is always speaking, that is why in scripture it uses the term ‘hardening one’s heart against it’… For this hardening of the heart against this voice is the proof that the voice is always speaking, therefore must the heart harden itself against it to silence it…. Though it is not recognized as the voice of God, just a voice against that which the heart desires to have….
For the voice of God is always directing towards the good, proper and right, and the heart that is willing to do the good, proper and right is the heart that will recognize the voice of God…. For the desires of  own will are that which hardens the heart against the voice that would speak to the contrary, so giving up one’s own will, is that that opens the ears of the heart.. For opening the ears of the heart to the voice of the good, the proper, and the right, is opening the heart to the voice of God… Which in turn does quiet the heart of the voice of own will, which makes the voice of God easier to hear, but of a truth, the speaking has not changed, just one’s ability to reckon oneself dead, and therefore silence the voice of own will…
Be blessed in recognizing and silencing the voice of own will, to the hearing of the voice of God in the heart…
A fellow believer, Not me
I was kinda thinking that, but since Marathoner made such a beautiful post and mentioned a health issue as did your blessings mention prayers for health, I thought maybe it was for Him..
Dont get me wrong I more than appreciate the encouragement and the prayers… I know that I’m not suppose to be greedy, but when it comes to prayers I’ll take all I can get!…  :)
be blessed in your searching and finding the God of all good things…
I knew that was intended for you, brother. I recovered by the grace of God, who gave me Himself in such abundance that I was speechless (again) for quite some time. Whereas before I walked in ignorance of His voice and will, now I walk in confidence of His love, correction, and exhortation: His gift to one so undeserving. His mercies are renewed every day. :)
The Lord speaks to us in so many ways. The most precious blessing by far is when He chooses to speak to us through the heart of another; hence your words spoke to me with the breath of His Spirit. You're a gentle brother, @Not me, and what you share with us is a blessing. I will join Walter in praying for your health. :)
    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.
      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.
      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.
      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.
      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”
    • Understanding the Enemy!
      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!
      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.
      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,
      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.
      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!
    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,
      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.
      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
