A nightmare actually that was so vivid I am still disturbed by it. I did not understand it at first but I think I do now.

I was really ill recently and had cold sweats, pain and I felt darkness and fear closing in. So scared that my illness would kill me.

I found myself in a place of darkness, the underbelly of a town I know. I had been abandoned by my loved ones and was lost. Round every corner and alley were terrible people, drug addicts, criminals, vicious or pathetic lost souls who knew only evil and darkness.

As I moved through, terrified and trying to find my way out, they either looked at me with deadly evil or were too high to care. I knew these were souls who knew only brutality. They would rape and kill any moment.

I prayed silently crying out to Lord Jesus to save me, but nothing happened, I was desperate, I couldn't understand why Jesus would not save me. There was no light, just eerie darkness round every corner. After a long time roaming and running I woke up, drenched in sweat.

I've recovered from my illness, I should tell you it was covid actually. I had several days feeling terrible, wondering if it would hospitalise me, but I recovered.

I've dwelt on the dream's meaning. No matter how I cried to Jesus, why oh why didn't He save me? Didn't he love me? Why did he abandon me?

Then it hit me! He DID! He was with me all the time. Those deadly souls did not touch me. I moved through them and they never attacked. Psalm 23. I was walking through the valley of the shadow of death ....

I recovered. I am ok. Covid didn't get the grip on me that it might have. Those nights of darkness have gone, I am fine.

Do you think my mind made that nightmare up or was it real? I feel it was real. I never normally remember dreams so clearly. This I cannot forget. I think I saw hell. But did not belong there as I had the Light with me.

Have you ever had a dream, nightmare or vision like this?

Just got through covid myself. It was a nightmare, brutal.

But I keep waking up to the day the Lord has made. Don't remember the nightmares, only that I woke up.

And to God be the glory!!

I am so glad you came through. It is a very dark place, covid. All praise to Jesus Christ for rescuing us. He never abandons us when we cry to Him.

I don't take dreams too seriously. They are our subconscious. They can be intense and weird. Our body slows way down when we sleep except for our brain. It keeps going and gives us dreams. If we have had some kind of trauma it can come out in our dreams. God allows us to have dreams for some reason which only He knows.

Maybe. Who are the people we see in clear dreams though? I wonder if there is more to it at times.

Twice I have had clear visions of loved ones who came to say goodbye shortly after death. It was long before I became a Christian. The intriguing thing was, they were firmly not believers. That means they were misleading spirits maybe? It is possible non believer's souls do not really rest but can be used by the Evil One to trick others. Thus explaining ghosts.

We are coming to Halloween, which I abhor strongly. A time when evil is openly celebrated by ignorant non believers. I have never seen a ghost. I think such apparitions are malicious tricks of the Devil to susceptible people.

But dreams are different, they do surely, sometimes, at the very least contain meanings, lessons from our subconscious.

What is the difference between dreams and visions? If you dismiss one, must you dismiss the other too? Plenty of visions and dreams in the Bible.

Today’s Dreams and Visions
With the completion of the Bible, God does not have to use dreams and visions as much as He did before. That is not to say that He cannot or does not; God can communicate with us however He chooses. But when we have a decision to make, our first stop should always be the Bible, not a dream.

Can God give visions to people today? Yes! Does God give visions to people today? Possibly. Should we expect visions to be an ordinary occurrence? No. As recorded in the Bible, God spoke to people many times by means of visions. Examples are Joseph, son of Jacob; Joseph, the husband of Mary; Solomon; Isaiah; Ezekiel; Daniel; Peter; and Paul. The prophet Joel predicted an outpouring of visions, and this was confirmed by the apostle Peter in Acts chapter 2. It is important to note that the difference between a vision and a dream is that a vision is given when a person is awake while a dream is given when a person is asleep.
In many parts of the world, God seems to be using visions and dreams extensively. In areas where there is little or no gospel message available, and where people do not have Bibles, God is taking His message to people directly through dreams and visions. This is entirely consistent with the biblical example of visions being frequently used by God to reveal His truth to people in the early days of Christianity. If God desires to communicate His message to a person, He can use whatever means He finds necessary—a missionary, an angel, a vision, or a dream. Of course, God also has the ability to give visions in areas where the gospel message is already readily available. There is no limit to what God can do.

At the same time, we must be careful when it comes to visions and the interpretation of visions. We must keep in mind that the Bible is finished, and it tells us everything we need to know. The key truth is that if God were to give a vision, it would agree completely with what He has already revealed in His Word. Visions should never be given equal or greater authority than the Word of God. God’s Word is our ultimate authority for Christian faith and practice. If you believe you have had a vision and feel that perhaps God gave it to you, prayerfully examine the Word of God and make sure your vision is in agreement with Scripture. Then prayerfully consider what God would have you do in response to the vision (James 1:5). God would not give a vision to a person and then keep the meaning of the vision hidden. In Scripture, whenever a person asked God for the meaning of a vision, God made sure it was explained to the person (Daniel 8:15-17).

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
