? I don't measure a person by cyberposts.

I do because

“And Jesus said, “The things that make people wrong are the things that come from the inside.”

posts don’t go into a person they come from inside a person.

Context.

Worthy is not a school where we get graded for good or bad performance. We're supposed to all be peers here and at least treat each other as such. All sheep, no shepherds lording authority or control over others. I command a certain influence over others in my life outside the forum and people rely on me to do so justly, wisely, scripturally and in Christlike manner. I come to discussion boards for respite. I'm not a shepherd of anything in the forum but myself and here all others are more significant than me whether they perceive that of me or not. I enjoy the conversations whether there is disagreement or not.... as long as they are done with manners and respect

Sometimes I err.

Sometimes its the other guy/gal.

Why would I bear ill will or any angst toward someone I have never met? I don't measure a person by cyberposts. I assume that is a very small part of their lives and were I to spend a wday, a week, a month living with that person I might only then begin to fathom the incredible life they live outside of Worthy.

But, hey, that's just me. Others do it differently. What I can say is scripture tells us love does not keep records of wrongs; it is patient, kind, humble, forbearing, hopeful, and trusting. I am to owe no one anything but to love them That can be enormously inconvenient ;) at times but it is still a better way to live. Anyone who came to Christ as an adult after living worldly in the world know we cannot go back to that way of living and find satisfaction or peace. Paul wasn't talking about transcripts; he was writing about life in the body of Christ among our siblings.

According to who? You? You keep your own record? Does no one else live like you and keep records? Does no one else in the forum keep records on you?

You do understand any poster can go to anyone else's profile page and survey their post history. The forum keeps a record. But the record of a person's posts are not kept for the purpose of reporting wrongdoing. Some might abuse that information to hold it against another but that's not love.

Great post by Josh.

All of us err now and then. This is the nature of our predicament as men and women bearing these bodies which are perishing. Some of us have learned lessons regarding this truth over, and over, and over again. Oh, and over again (for good measure). ;)

The Lord is a faithful and perfectly consistent Teacher and disciplinarian!

I make an earnest effort to be watchful of my words for I have witnessed their effect upon others in the past. I learned how to remain silent and put that to good use here on the forum. I'm far from perfect and I remember that my brothers and sisters aren't perfect, either. We love and are loved. This seasons my reactions and makes silence much easier to embrace. Silence can be a wonderful thing.

If I'm moved to break that silence on account of a misunderstanding, I do my best to tread carefully. There are times when it is better to say nothing than something

1 Peter 2:20-24 ERV

But if you are punished for doing wrong, there is no reason to praise you for bearing that punishment. But if you suffer for doing good and you are patient, this pleases God. This is what you were chosen to do. Christ gave you an example to follow. He suffered for you. So you should do the same as he did: “He never sinned, and he never told a lie.” People insulted him, but he did not insult them back. He suffered, but he did not threaten anyone. No, he let God take care of him. God is the one who judges rightly. Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross. He did this so that we would stop living for sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you were healed.

We must suffer for doing good just like Jesus did.

I made a post against Gay Pride and homosexuality and it was deleted. I meant no harm of fact I was trying to help people see the truth. The arguments for gay pride are convincing and it scares me that people may believe what they say. I wanted to show that we do not have to back down or fear Gay pride because we are sinners too.

All Sin must be repented we cannot be proud about our sin. Children of God must be willing to put themselves out there and speak the truth. If we are punished for it we should thank God for blessing us to be punished for doing good just like Jesus was.

May we find the strength and courage to tell the truth.

Sometimes in face of aggravating circumstances all a gal needs is a hug and a little validation (sigh).  So consider yourself hugged sister.  It's hard learning to grapple with all the injustices we see in this life, some of them can seem so insufferable and impossibly perplexing...that's when we have to particularly hand the issue over to God, He is the only one who can deal with the impossible.  Lately in my own personal life away from the computer I have needed to read Ps. 37 often.  When we find ourselves repeatedly up against a brick wall, it may be because the Lord is trying to teach us something or change us in some area, and He is leading us to overcome and triumph, though it can take time.  We are not wrestling with flesh and blood in these things and make no mistake the Lord is aiming to defeat those unseen enemies who wreak so much havoc and mischief.

But I hope you won't feel punished due to the fact that your thread was taken down....I didn't see what transpired there but often a thread is taken down for reasons that have nothing to do with the opening post or the one who posted it.  Though it is still aggravating nonetheless to see all your hard work and thoughts expressed disappear into smoke without so much as a howdy do.....it can feel like a slap in the face.  I wish the mods would take the time to send a little explanatory note to the OP when they do that, it's a courtesy that would be enormously helpful.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
