Can you ask God yes/no answers? For example, if I want to ask God what I should do, I'll open YouTube and say, God if I am meant to do this, this video will play. If I'm not meant to do it then the video will not run? Or I will say "God, have I understood this bible passage correctly? The video playing means yes, the video failing to play means no,"

Does God answer like this?

No God does not answer questions like this.

He has given us the intelligence to be able to read his word, to understand it and apply its principles to our lives.

I'm not sure I have ever seen a video that didn't play.

Hi Meadowflower,

God desires that we grow up, become mature. He has given us His word with His Holy Spirit to guide us. As we grow we learn the `nudgings` of the Lord. We learn when things aren`t right and if we have done something wrong.

We don`t learn our 6 x tables in grade 1 and so it is we learn to grow spiritually a step at a time. The main wrong things are easily seen however it eventually comes down to our attitudes and the motivation of our heart.

And these we need to address everyday.

regards, Marilyn.

There were times I was engaged to be married. I prayed and I told God that if this was not His will then slam the door shut and He would. The Bible clearly teaches us to trust in God and not lean on our own understanding.
